Nagaraj Shetti, Senior Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities
After showing sharp weakness amidst weak global cues on Friday, Nifty witnessed an excellent bounce back from the lows on Monday and closed the day higher by 211 points. After negative opening, the market slipped into further weakness soon after the opening. The sharp upside recovery that emerged from the early part of the session and continued till the end.
A long bull candle has been formed on the daily chart after opening lower. Technically, this market action indicates a formation of 'Bullish Engulfing' candle pattern, which is positive indication. The opening downside gap of Friday has been filled partially.
The sharp bounce back of Monday seems to have opened the doors for bulls to comeback. A sustainable move above the recent down gap resistance at 25750 could pull Nifty towards 26000 levels in the near term. Immediate support is placed at 25550.

Today, the benchmark indices bounced back sharply, with the Nifty ending 212 points higher and the Sensex rising by 650 points. Among sectors, Energy, Reality, and PSU Banks indices rallied over 1.5 percent, whereas despite the strong market momentum, the Capital Market index shed 1.25 percent. Technically, after a weak open, the market took support near the 20-day SMA (Simple Moving Average) at 25,400/82300 and bounced back sharply. On daily charts, it has formed a long bullish candle, and on intraday charts, it has formed a promising reversal pattern, which is largely positive.
For day traders, 25,600/83000 and 25,500/82700 would act as key support zones. As long as the market is trading above these levels, the pullback formation is likely to continue. On the higher side, it could bounce back to 25,800–25,875/83500-83700. On the flip side, below 25,500/82700, the sentiment could change. If the market falls below this level, traders may prefer to exit their long positions.

Sudeep Shah, Head - Technical and Derivatives Research at SBI Securities
The benchmark Nifty index began Monday’s session with a noticeable gap-down opening, reflecting early nerves in the market. However, sentiment quickly reversed as the index staged an impressive rebound within the very first minute of trade. From there, Nifty maintained a steady upward trajectory, forming a constructive pattern of higher tops and higher bottoms throughout the day.
By the close, the index settled near the day’s high at 25683, marking a healthy 0.83% gain, and signalling renewed buying interest. On the daily chart, Nifty has also formed a large bullish candle that decisively engulfed the previous session’s candle, a positive technical development hinting at potential continuation of the upward move.
Supporting this strength, Nifty has now moved above its 20-day, 50-day, and 100-day EMAs, further reinforcing the short to medium-term bullish structure. The daily RSI, too, has shown a mild uptick, indicating improving momentum.
In terms of stock performance within the index, Power Grid and Coal India emerged as the top gainers, while Tech Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki were among the notable laggards. Sectorally, the market action was mixed. Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Realty indices outperformed, leading the sectoral pack. On the other hand, Nifty Media and Nifty Auto witnessed pressure and ended as top sectoral losers.
The broader markets also closed in the green, with Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices registering gains. However, both segments underperformed the frontline indices, indicating that the rally was more concentrated in large-cap counters. Market breadth remained slightly weak, with the advance/decline ratio tilted towards decliners, even as 289 stocks from the Nifty 500 universe managed to end the session higher.
Nifty View
Going ahead, for Nifty, the 25800–25850 zone remains the immediate hurdle. A sustained move above 25850 can extend the pullback toward 26000. On the downside, 25580–25550 will act as strong near-term support.
Bank Nifty View
The Bank Nifty delivered a standout performance on Monday, significantly outperforming the frontline indices and emerging as a key driver of the frontline indices upmove. The banking gauge provided substantial support to the Nifty’s rally, underscoring strong buying interest across major financial heavyweights.
Technically, the index found solid support near its 20-day EMA, from where it staged a sharp and decisive rebound. This recovery culminated in the formation of a large bullish candle on the daily chart—a structure that reflects sustained demand at lower levels and reinforces the improving sentiment within the banking pack.
Adding strength to the bullish case, the daily RSI has surged above the 60 mark and continues to trend higher, indicating robust momentum and room for further upside.
Looking ahead, the zone of 60600–60500 is expected to act as a crucial support area. As long as the index sustains above 60500, Bank Nifty remains well-positioned to extend its rally toward 61500, with the next potential target placed near 62100 in the short term.

Abhinav Tiwari Research Analyst at Bonanza
Today, the Indian equity markets rebounded, ending a two day losing streak as investors returned to buying large cap banks and defensive stocks. The recovery came despite continued weakness in IT shares. Market sentiment was supported by manageable inflation data for January and positive global cues around long term AI investment after Anthropic announced a major funding round.
The Sensex rose about 650 points, while the Nifty 50 closed at 25,683 by the close. Markets were volatile during the day, with early pressure from IT stocks offset by steady buying in banks, energy, realty, pharma and FMCG names.
Inflation data provided near term comfort. January WPI inflation rose to 1.81%, a nine month high, driven by higher prices in metals, food items and manufactured goods. However, fuel prices remained in deflation. CPI inflation came in at 2.75%, firmly within the RBI target range. The RBI has kept interest rates unchanged and continues to highlight steady growth, which is positive for equities.
Sectorally, realty, pharma, FMCG and private banks led gains, with stocks like HDFC Bank and Axis Bank providing support. IT stocks such as Infosys remained weak due to concerns around AI led disruption. Overall, low inflation, stable policy and strong domestic participation provide support, though IT and global tech volatility remain key risks in the near term.

The Nifty started the day on a weak footing but held firm as there was no follow-through selling pressure. The index then rallied to its day’s high following the formation of a hidden positive divergence on the hourly chart, resulting in a bullish engulfing candle on the daily timeframe.
If the Nifty holds above 25,600 till the close, the uptrend may continue in the near term. On the higher side, it could move towards 25,800 and above. However, a fall below 25,500 may reactivate bearishness in the market.

After a range-bound opening, domestic markets edged higher, supported by renewed buying interest in banking and power stocks. The power sector gained on expectations of sustained demand momentum, while improved loan growth and stable asset quality bolstered confidence in banks.
Globally, a continued decline in the US 10-year yield following benign inflation data strengthened expectations of a Fed rate cut later this year, with investors now closely awaiting the upcoming Fed minutes for further direction. Meanwhile, stability in the INR and range-bound crude oil prices ahead of US–Iran talks are offering additional support to domestic equities.

Indian markets are currently absorbing global volatility and an earnings recalibration phase, but the underlying domestic fundamentals remain robust.
The government’s sustained capital expenditure commitment, alongside strategic manufacturing incentives, strengthens the structural growth runway for corporate India. While short-term movements may continue to reflect global cues, we believe the medium-term opportunity has improved meaningfully.
As fiscal execution translates into earnings growth and investor confidence rebuilds, markets are well positioned to transition into a more durable, fundamentals-led cycle.

Sanjay Kumar, CEO & MD, Rassense
The marginal decline in the WPI food index last month indicates some relaxation in wholesale food prices on a sequential basis. Having said that, the y-o-y inflationary trend inching up to 1.41% percent underlines the fact that price pressures, although moderate and characteristic of economic conditions, continue to linger. This scenario highlights that while supply-side conditions are stabilizing, underlying costs pertaining to procurement, logistics and processing remain influential on consumption patterns.
Going forward, sustained momentum will largely rely on efficient supply chain management and close monitoring of the seasonal fluctuations. What would be ideal is to take a balanced approach that supports farmers while ensuring price stability for consumers, as it would be vital to maintain control over food inflation, keeping it rangebound in the coming months.

However, the IPO has seen relatively low demand from investors and has only partially filled the available number of shares due to both the current volatility in global equity markets and the prevailing negative sentiment in the domestic IPO market at the time of the launch of this IPO.
Aye Finance is a non-bank financial company (NBFC) providing small business loans to underserved micro/small/medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across India. There are a number of positive factors such as the company’s diverse product portfolio, its technology-based credit assessment practices, and its geographic expansion that all provide a reasonable basis to believe that this company has the ability to continue to grow substantially within the next few years.
Aye Finance has experienced consistent growth in its assets under management (AUM) history, while at the same time, the company’s credit costs and operating expenses remain above average when compared to its peers.
Aye Finance’s credit costs and operating costs will therefore need to be continually monitored going forward, particularly in relation to the competitive pressures that other NBFCs and fintech companies will impose on this sector of the market over the next several years.
The company has a fairly balanced outlook, given the ongoing structural demand for credit from MSMEs in addition to the need for greater financial inclusion within India, assuming that appropriate credit practices and funding costs are utilized by Aye Finance over the next several years.
