Nagaraj Shetti, Senior Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities
The range bound action of the last few sessions has eventually resulted in a sharp upside breakout on Tuesday and Nifty closed the day higher by 169 points. After opening with a positive note, the market continued with upside momentum for better part of the session. The upside got strengthened towards the end and Nifty closed at the highs.
A long bull candle was formed on the daily chart which indicates a sharp upside breakout of the hurdle of previous swing high of 21st Aug at 25150 levels and Nifty closed higher. This is positive indication and signal bulls are back into the scene after an upmove with choppy movement in the last 6-7 sessions.
The short-term trend of Nifty continues to be positive. Having surpassed the key hurdle at 25150, Nifty could advance towards the next resistance of 25400-25500 levels in the near term. Immediate support is placed at 25100 levels.

Sudeep Shah, Head - Technical Research and Derivatives at SBI Securities.
On Tuesday, the benchmark index Nifty delivered a decisive Symmetrical Triangle breakout on the daily chart, signalling a potential shift in momentum. The index not only breached the consolidation range but also closed above the psychologically significant 25200 mark, reinforcing bullish sentiment. The breakout was accompanied by a sizeable bullish candle, adding conviction to the move and suggesting strength in the underlying trend.
Among the Nifty constituents, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Larsen & Toubro emerged as the top gainers, showcasing strong buying interest. On the flip side, Shriram Finance and Asian Paints were among the notable laggards.
Sector-wise, the market breadth was largely positive. Barring Nifty FMCG, all other sectoral indices ended in the green. Nifty Auto and Nifty Realty led the charge.
The broader markets continued their winning streak, with Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices closing higher for the eighth consecutive session. The advance/decline ratio remained skewed in favour of the bulls, highlighting broad-based participation. Within the Nifty 500 universe, a solid 324 stocks ended in the green, underscoring the strength of the rally beyond the headline indices.
Nifty View
The benchmark index Nifty has delivered a Symmetrical Triangle breakout on the daily chart, marking a significant technical development. The breakout was accompanied by a sizeable bullish candle, reinforcing the strength and reliability of the move. This pattern typically indicates a continuation of the prevailing trend, and in this case, the breakout suggests bullish momentum is gaining traction.
Currently, the index is trading above both its short-term and long-term moving averages, which have started to edge higher—a classic bullish signal that reflects improving price structure and trend alignment.
Among momentum indicators, the RSI has surged past the 60 mark and is maintaining a rising trajectory, indicating strengthening buying momentum. Additionally, the MACD remains in bullish territory, quoting above both the zero line and the signal line. The MACD histogram is also expanding, suggesting a pickup in upside momentum and confirming the bullish bias.
Given this confluence of positive technical signals, we believe the index is poised to extend its northward journey in the short term. Key upside levels to watch are 25400, followed by 25550. On the downside, the support zone of 25130–25100 is expected to act as a cushion and provide buying opportunities on dips.
Bank Nifty View
The banking benchmark index Bank Nifty continued its pullback rally, closing in the green for the 10th consecutive trading session. This sustained pullback rally has propelled the index above its key short-term and long-term moving averages, signalling a shift in momentum and improving trend structure.
Momentum indicators are also aligning with the bullish narrative. The daily RSI is currently quoting near the 55 level and remains in a rising trajectory, indicating growing buying interest. This level is often seen as a transition zone, and a sustained move above 60 could further validate the strength of the rally.
Overall, the technical setup for Bank Nifty is turning increasingly constructive, and if the momentum sustains, the index could be poised for further upside in the near term. Talking about crucial levels, the zone of 55500-55600 will act as an immediate hurdle for the index. While, on the downside, the zone of 54800-54700 will act as crucial support for the index.

Nifty has given a double bottom breakout on the daily timeframe, indicating rising optimism. The index has been sustaining above the 21EMA, confirming a continuation of the uptrend.
Additionally, the RSI has moved above its previous swing high, further supporting bullish momentum.
In the short term, the trend is likely to remain strong, with potential upside towards 25,500 and beyond. On the downside, support is placed at 25,000, and a break below this level could signal the end of the current rally.

Vaibhav Vidwani, Research Analyst at Bonanza
Today, the Indian stock markets ended with a strong positive momentum, driven by robust buying in banking and auto stocks, along with optimism over domestic trade prospects and improving global sentiment. Both benchmark indices registered healthy gains, the Sensex surged 595 points (0.73%) to settle at 82,380, while the Nifty rose 170 points (0.68%) to 25,239, marking an emphatic recovery after a subdued previous session.
The rally was primarily led by banking majors like Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, and heavyweight auto stocks such as Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Eicher Motors. Investor confidence was boosted by positive cues from Asia and the US, especially as global markets responded favorably to progress in US-China and India-US trade discussions. Smallcap stocks continued to outperform, while sectoral gains were strong in auto, banking, and media sectors. Additionally, stability in commodity prices and low volatility supported a risk on environment throughout the day.
The SEBI decision to grant equity status to REITs sparked a sharp rally in realty stocks, with Godfrey Phillips bonus issue and Vodafone Idea’s Supreme Court hearing, created stock-specific momentum. Looking ahead, we are closely monitoring the US Federal Reserve’s policy announcement, which could set the tone for interest rate outlooks and global liquidity. Further optimism is building around the possibility of an India-US trade deal and healthy domestic macroeconomic trends. We expect stock-specific moves to continue, especially in sectors showing earnings resilience and benefiting from favorable policy signals.
Overall, the strong market close shows growing confidence and keeps Indian stocks in a good position for the rest of the week, as investors wait for news on global interest rates and trade updates.

The domestic market sustained its recovery trend, supported by favourable global cues on expectations of ~25 bps rate cut in the forthcoming US Fed policy decision and renewed optimism surrounding the resumed India-US trade negotiations.
Auto and consumer durable stocks outperformed, ahead of the rollout of new GST rates and festive-driven demand expectations.
Going forward, investor attention will remain on trade discussions, while strong domestic macro fundamentals are expected to drive upward earnings revisions, supporting current valuations and mitigating downside risks.

The Indian rupee saw its third consecutive day of appreciation, as the dollar index fell to a two-and-a-half-month low. The decline in the greenback was fueled by expectations that the U.S. Federal Reserve will cut interest rates.
The local currency was also bolstered by a rebound in domestic equities, driven by optimism for a positive outcome in U.S.-India trade negotiations.
In the near term, the spot USDINR is expected to find support at 86.65 and resistance at 88.40.
