Markets rebounded sharply on Wednesday, gaining over half a percent and extending the prevailing positive momentum. After a firm start, the Nifty continued to move higher through most of the session, though mild profit-taking in the final hour trimmed some gains. Eventually, it closed at 25,323.55, up 0.71%. Sector-wise, most indices ended in the green, with realty, financials, and metals leading the advance. The broader market also remained constructive, as both midcap and smallcap indices posted healthy gains, supported by strong market breadth.
The up move was driven by some easing in US-China trade tussle and a rebound in the rupee from recent lows. Additionally, a stable start to the earnings season and rating agencies reaffirming their positive outlook on India helped counter lingering worries around global growth and trade tensions.
Technically, the Nifty looks poised to retest the trendline hurdle near 25,450, and a decisive breakout above this level could propel the index toward 25,650 and beyond. We maintain a bullish bias and continue to advocate a “buy on dips” approach as long as the index holds above the 25,000 support zone. Sector rotation currently favors banking, metals, and auto, while defensives like FMCG and pharma may continue to underperform in the near term, so participants should align their positions accordingly.

Nagaraj Shetti, Senior Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities
After showing sharp weakness on Tuesday, Nifty witnessed sharp bounced back on Wednesday and closed the day higher by 178 points. After opening on a positive note, the market witnessed a sustainable upmove for better part of the session. Intraday dips have been utilized to move higher and Nifty finally closed near the highs.
A long bull candle was formed on the daily chart, that indicates counter attack of bulls after one session of weakness on Tuesday. Nifty is currently placed at the edge of breakout of cluster resistance like down sloping trend line, previous swing high and upper range of last few sessions around 25400-25500 levels.
The underlying trend of Nifty is positive. A decisive breakout of key resistance at 25500 is likely to open more upside towards 25700-25800 in the near term. Immediate support is placed at 25200.

Abhinav Tiwari, Research Analyst at Bonanza
Today, Indian equity market ended positively with the Sensex rising 575 points to close at 82,605 and the Nifty 50 gaining 178 points to settle at 25,324. The uptrend was driven by broad-based optimism led by easing crude oil prices, stronger global cues, and hopes of an upcoming RBI rate cut following inflation slipping to an eight year low of 1.54%. Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, L&T, Asian Paints, and Nestle India led the rally, rising up to 4%, while IT majors Infosys and Tech Mahindra saw mild corrections post their Q2 results.
All sectoral indices ended in the green, with the Nifty Realty index up 3% amid robust September housing data and PSU Bank, Metal, and Power indices gaining over 1% each.
The mid cap and small cap segments rose 1.1% and 0.8%, underlining broad market participation. RBL Bank surged to a five year high on reports that Emirates NBD may acquire up to a 60% stake, while ICICI Lombard advanced nearly 8% after strong Q2 earnings. Global sentiment strengthened as U.S. Treasury yields eased and crude prices fell below $78/barrel, soothing inflation and trade concerns.
With inflation at multi-year lows and crude prices stabilizing, expectations for a rate cut by the RBI in its December policy are firming, which could sustain buying interest in rate sensitive sectors like realty, banking, and autos. However, profit-taking may emerge in IT and defensives as investors rotate toward cyclical themes. Sentiment remains constructive with focus on upcoming earnings from HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries this week.

The Nifty index opened higher at 25,182 and witnessed a steady upward movement throughout the session, reflecting renewed buying interest after Tuesday’s decline. The Index closed 0.71% higher at 25,323.
On the sectoral front, Nifty Realty was the top sectoral gainer, ending with a gain of 3.07%, followed by PSU Banks which ended with gains of 1.67%. On the other hand, Nifty Media was the only sector to end the day in red. On the stock front, Bajaj Finance & Nestle India ended up as the top gainers, while Infosys and Bajaj Auto emerged as the top two losers.
The broader market indices, mirrored the performance seen in the frontline indices and closed higher. Midcap Index relatively outperformed even the Smallcap Index, ending the session 1.11% higher. On the other hand, the Smallcap Index closed 0.82% higher. The market breadth significantly improved with advance-decline ratio tilting in the favour of the bulls as a total of 366 stocks out of the Nifty 500 closed in the green, reflecting broad based buying.
Nifty View
On 15th October, the index came close to testing its 20-day EMA zone of 25,030–25,040 but managed to hold firmly above it, indicating that the short-term trend remains positive and the recent dip was well absorbed by the market.
Interestingly, yesterday’s low of 25,061 coincided with the midline of the Bollinger Bands, which often acts as a dynamic support zone. The subsequent bounce from this level highlights that the index is respecting its mean and that volatility remains well-contained within the current uptrend
On the other hand, the zone of 25,310–25,330 has acted as a stiff resistance over the past four sessions, with Nifty consistently facing selling pressure at this level. The index did manage to decisively move past this hurdle but again faced rejection at higher levels. A strong close above this zone will be essential for the index to continue its upward momentum.
The RSI, which had dipped to 55.08 in the previous session, has now rebounded to 60.49. This uptick in RSI reflects a pickup in bullish momentum and signals that buyer are gradually regaining control, although follow-through above resistance will be key for further confirmation. The MACD continues to trade above both the zero line and the signal line, indicating that the underlying medium-term trend remains constructive.
Looking at key levels, the 25,450 level will act as an immediate resistance for the Index. This level also coincides with the previous swing high made on 18th September. If the index manages to give a follow through move above the level of 25,450, then pullback can continue further till 25,650 level. While, on the downside, the zone of 25,200-25,150 will act as a crucial support for the Index.
Bank Nifty View
Bank Nifty opened at 56,529 and, despite showing initial weakness with an intraday low of 56,492, the index quickly regained strength and moved higher through the session, eventually ending the day higher with a gain of 0.54% at 56,800. This steady recovery reflects sustained buying interest and underlying strength within the banking space.
Over the past three sessions, the zone of 56,750–56,800 had acted as a stiff resistance for the index. Today, Bank Nifty managed to break out above this zone, though profit booking at higher levels led to some retracement, bringing the price back towards the resistance zone. Despite the pullback on an Intraday basis, the Index managed to close just near this resistance zone.
Also, Bank Nifty continues to outperform the Nifty, as reflected by the rising ratio line in Bank Nifty/Nifty ratio chart, indicating that relative strength remains firmly in favour of banking stocks.
The ADX indicator is in a rising mode, which signifies that the ongoing trend is gaining strength. A rising ADX, regardless of direction, confirms that momentum is building, supporting the case for a sustained trending move in the near term. Meanwhile, the RSI has climbed to 67.48, suggesting that while the index is showing strong momentum, there is still room for further upside before it reaches overextended levels.
Looking at key levels, the 56,900–57,000 zone will act as an immediate resistance for the index. If the index manages to give a follow through move above the level of 57,000, the pullback can continue further till 57,600 level. While, on the downside, the zone of 56,300-56,200 will act as a crucial support for the index.

After a quiet year, India's main market has rebounded, as seen by the two huge initial public offerings (IPOs) that took place in October and put investor appetite to the test. One of the best IPO achievements in recent years was achieved by LG Electronics India, whose IPO was reportedly oversubscribed 54 times and saw a 50% increase in listing. Despite minor margin gains, Tata Capital saw a flat listing. These impressive performances helped make up for the year's sluggish start andindicate that investors are once again confident in high-quality firms with sound business plans andpromising futures.
Overall, though, the IPO momentum this month has been a little erratic. Many other October IPOs have had difficulty maintaining investor interest after listing, but LG Electronics stood out with a solid valuation and favourable listing gains. According to reports, eight of the twelve mainboard initial public offerings (IPOs) that were introduced this month are currently trading below their issue price. This is a result of issuers' aggressive pricing strategy and the lack of retail involvement. Due to recent setbacks, where not all initial public offerings (IPOs) promised immediate profits, investors have grown more wary. The current market prefers sound fundamentals and fair pricing over overhyped or speculative goods.
With five large initial public offerings (IPOs) planned to raise over Rs 35,000 crore across the fintech, asset management, consumer electronics, and lifestyle sectors, the primary market is expected to have a busy November as we look to the remainder of 2025. It is anticipated that well-known companies like Lenskart, Groww, Pine Labs, ICICI Prudential AMC, and BOAT will retest the market.

Sandeep Parwal, Founder SPA Capital
The expectation that the Federal Reserve (Fed) will cut interest rates later in October 2025 is widely shared among investors and analysts, with a nearly high probability, but we differ. In case this is executed, this will drive the US economy further towards the cliff of doom aggressively.
In case of this action , the Indian markets could give a good trading opportunity but investors need to remain cautious.
If the Fed does cut rates, it may temporarily propel a rally in equities, including Indian markets, as traders could hype up the influx of liquidity. However, this rally is likely to be short-lived and inconsistent, and not in long term interest of investors.
In summary, the hypothesis of Fed rate cuts indeed supports a potential Indian equity rally, but this rally may be unsustainable and marked by volatility. It could benefit traders who can capitalize on short-term price movements but exposes risks for investors seeking stable, consistent returns. The key lies in recognizing that the rate cut signals economic caution rather than robust recovery, urging a cautious, well-timed approach to equity market participation in this period.

Trivesh D, COO, Tradejini
Asian equities started the week with a positive tone as increased optimism about a potential U.S. Federal Reserve rate cut buoyed sentiment across the region. Benchmarks in Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea gained over 1 %, reflecting optimism that the Fed could ease policy as early as December 2025. The dovish turn follows data showing U.S. inflation cooling faster than expected.
Indian equities moved in sync with this global mood. The Nifty 50 inched up about 0.65%, and the Sensex rose 0.63%, with broader participation from mid- and small-caps. That’s a sign of continued domestic confidence. After pulling out nearly ₹35000 crore in September, foreign investors could re-enter if liquidity conditions improve globally. Interestingly, Asian equities as a whole saw around US$7.68billion in foreign inflows last month, largely on hopes of a Fed pivot.
In the past, when the Fed rate cuts outside a recession phase, equities tend to do well, averaging a 10–12% gain over the following year. India has also gone through similar phases comfortably with continued strong growth and earnings delivery.
That said, we can’t ignore the uncertainty surrounding the U.S. political environment. Donald Trump remains unpredictable, and markets are learning to expect the unexpected from every now and then. Any surprise policy comment can shift sentiment overnight.
For now, easing rate expectations and strong momentum across Asia could keep Indian equities well-positioned to ride this regional rally, at least in the near term.

Sanjay Kumar, MD & CEO, Rassense
The cooling of the WPI inflation on a month-on-month basis is primarily influenced by the softening of food prices, against the backdrop of a good monsoon, leading to considerable moderation in the WPI food index. This decline in the inflationary trend after the previous two months of uptick is characteristic, as the spike was the ripple effect of the unprecedented volatility due to the US Tariff Threat. It is noteworthy that agricultural products have played a significant role in keeping the food inflation index in check, ultimately maintaining a sustained and resilient control over the headline inflation.
This underlines the need to further strengthen agricultural supply chains with technological advancements, invest in better storage, cold-storage infrastructure, and real-time market monitoring. Forecasting models tied to weather and yield data should trigger strategic buffer releases or imports pre-emptively. Being a country heavily driven by agriculture as the biggest contributor to the GDP, it is imperative to keep a hawk’s eye on domestic and international triggers that can have a dampening effect on the agriculture sector, and mitigate risk well in advance to keep this momentum upbeat and sustained.
Overall, going further, a probable rate cut by the RBI along with the GST reforms will further make inroads for moderation of inflation, thus keeping the trend range-bound.
