The Nifty index opened on a flat note, witnessed both-side volatility, and eventually settled the day on a flat note at 25,763. Technically, on the daily chart, Nifty found support around its previous breakout point and formed a green candle, indicating buying interest near the demand zone. If the index holds above 25,645, a relief rally could be possible; however, a sustained move below 25,645 may extend weakness towards 25,450–25,400 levels, where the next major demand zone is placed. On the higher side, 26,100 continues to act as stiff resistance. As long as Nifty remains below this level, any bounce should be used for booking profits.
The Bank Nifty index opened on a flat note, witnessed buying interest, and settled the day on a bullish note at 58,101. Technically, on the daily chart, the Bank Nifty index formed a bullish engulfing candlestick pattern near its recent breakout point, reflecting strength. On the downside, immediate support for Bank Nifty is seen near 57,630. As long as the index holds above this level, it could attempt to test the recent high of 58,580. Thus, short-term traders are advised to buy near 57,630 and book profits near 58,580 levels.”,
Shrikant Chouhan, Head Equity Research, Kotak Securities
Today, the benchmark indices witnessed range-bound activity. The Nifty ended 41 points higher, while the Sensex was up by 40 points. Among sectors, the Reality index outperformed today, rallied 2.40 percent, whereas intraday profit booking was seen in selective auto and IT stocks at higher levels. Technically, after a correction, the market has formed an intraday reversal pattern. Additionally, on daily charts, it has formed a small bullish candle, which is largely positive.
For day traders, 25700/83700 and 25650/ 83500 would act as key support zones. As long as the market trades above these levels, a pullback formation is likely to continue, with the index potentially moving up to 25875/84300. Further upside may also persist, which could lift the index to 26000/84700. On the flip side, below 25650/83500, the uptrend would become vulnerable. If the market falls below this level, the chances of hitting 25550/83200 would increase.

Markets held steady on Monday, with the Nifty 50 closing nearly flat at 25,763.35, up 0.13%, indicating continued consolidation after a strong October rally. The index opened on a subdued note and remained range-bound throughout the session amid mixed global cues. Sectorally, the action was split — realty, pharma, and financials registered decent gains, while IT and FMCG lagged behind.
The cautious tone reflected measured positioning after a two-session decline. Investors also focused on festive auto sales, key earnings from Nifty heavyweights, and FII activity, while globally, lingering tension after the Fed hawkishness and ongoing trade discussions kept risk appetite in check. However, steady domestic inflows provided support, limiting the downside.
Going ahead, corporate earnings and trade deal developments are likely to guide market direction, in the absence of major triggers. Technically, Nifty is expected to see further consolidation, with critical support placed around 25,600. Amid this setup, we continue to recommend a selective approach, focusing on sectors showing relative strength, and preferring large-cap and large mid-cap stocks for long trades while maintaining moderate position sizes amid global uncertainty.
Sensex Today | Hero MotoCorp sales down 6% in October 2025
The company's total sales down 6.37 percent at 635,808 units in October 2025 from 679,091 in October 2024.
Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Investments
The domestic market ended on a marginal positive note as profit booking was visible at the higher levels due to the absence of fresh domestic triggers. While the broader market outperformed since the quarterly earnings are steering investors' preference to take a short- to medium-term view. The PSU Banking index continued to be a preferred bet for investors, led by healthy earnings and improving asset quality. In contrast, IT stocks declined amid fading expectations of a U.S. Fed rate cut, while a trade truce between the US and China eased the demand for safe haven assets.

The Indian Rupee drifted toward a record low on Monday, dragged down by regional currency weakness and dollar outflows. Although the central bank intervened mid-session to offer some cushioning, strong dollar demand ultimately prevailed, pushing the rupee pair to a session low before it settled with a small loss. Near-term technical chart shows support at 88.55 and resistance at 89.25.
Abhinav Tiwari, Research Analyst at Bonanza
Today, the Indian stock market witnessed a flat closing for the Nifty 50 index while the Bank Nifty ended on a positive note, signaling a mixed but cautiously optimistic market mood. The Nifty closed around the 25,763 mark with limited movement, reflecting investors' cautious stance amid ongoing consolidation after strong gains last month. Meanwhile, the Bank Nifty showed resilience and was up by 0.56% driven by PSU banks.
PSU banks rose on the back of stronger than expected quarterly earnings, healthier asset quality, and improved credit growth prospects, which helped restore investor confidence in the sector. Additionally, recent government measures to boost infrastructure spending and credit availability enhanced the outlook for public sector lenders, driving their outperformance. In contrast, private sector banks saw subdued gains as investors assessed regulatory developments and awaited further clarity on loan growth and asset quality trends.
Looking ahead, market expectations remain cautiously positive as investors await fresh triggers from upcoming corporate earnings, key policy decisions, and global economic cues. Sustained foreign institutional inflows and favorable trade deal progress could provide directional support, while domestic elections and geopolitical factors remain key watch points. Overall, the market is poised for gradual recovery with a focus on stock-specific opportunities amid consolidation.

Colin Shah, Managing Director of Kama Jewelry
The steep fall in exports to the U.S. is a concern for India’s gems and jewellery industry for the short term. The American market is one of our biggest export destinations, and the imposed higher tariffs make our products less competitive for exports. Many small and medium exporters are already feeling the pinch. In the short term, margins will be under pressure.
It’s important that both governments work towards a more balanced trade environment. India is the world's largest hub for diamond cutting and polishing, handling 9 out of every 10 diamonds processed globally. The focus now is on tapping new and emerging markets, investing in design innovation, and enhancing value addition to maintain our leadership in the global jewellery trade. With continued government support and industry collaboration, we are confident, India will not only recover but expand its global footprint in the coming years.
Having said that, we firmly believe that the industry will adapt by exploring alternative markets, improving efficiency, and focusing on design and value addition. Exploring opportunities in countries like China and BRICS nations, as well as other emerging and developed markets, can open up new revenue streams. We hope the government will expedite the long-delayed SEZ reforms and implement measures that boost e-commerce globally, as the industry must urgently diversify its market.
