Indian equity markets staged a sharp recovery on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, snapping a multi-session losing streak to end on a strong note. The Sensex surged 639.82 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 78,205.98, while the Nifty 50 advanced 233.55 points, or 0.97 percent, to settle at 24,261.60, reclaiming the 24,250 mark with conviction. The broader markets also participated enthusiastically, with the Nifty Midcap index adding 1.6 percent and the Smallcap index rising 2 percent, reflecting renewed risk appetite across market capitalisation segments. Sectorally, the session was a positive one, with all major indices ending in the green except IT and oil & gas. The Auto index led sectoral gains with a rise of 3 percent, while Consumer Durables added 2.6 percent and the PSU Bank index advanced 2.2 percent. Realty, media, and pharma indices also posted healthy gains.
On the corporate front, several significant developments captured investor attention. Dixon Technologies received approval from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for an investment by HKC Overseas (HKO), an affiliate of HKC Corporation, in Dixon Display Technologies.
Post this transaction, Dixon Display Technologies — currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Dixon — will become a joint venture company, with shareholding held by Dixon and HKO in the ratio of 74:26. Meanwhile, Power Grid Corporation of India’s board approved raising funds of up to Rs 5,000 crore through an unsecured rupee term loan or line of credit from Union Bank of India, and also sanctioned an investment of Rs 233.96 crore for setting up a Security Operations Center for substations.
In a significant strategic move, the board gave in-principle approval for the divestment of its entire equity stake in Central Transmission Utility of India (CTUIL), a wholly owned subsidiary, to Grid Controller of India (GRID-INDIA). Additionally, Power Grid approved entering into a strategic alliance with Africa50 and Uganda Development Bank, along with a framework agreement for the development of a transmission project in Uganda under the Independent Power Transmission model, marking a meaningful step in India’s infrastructure outreach abroad.
Today’s broad-based rally, led by autos, consumer durables, and PSU banks, reflects a shift in sentiment after a prolonged period of FII-driven selling. The cooling of crude oil prices has been a key macro catalyst, offering twin benefits of a stronger rupee and improved margin outlook for consumption-driven sectors. We maintain a constructive medium-term outlook on domestic consumption themes, auto ancillaries, and capital goods. Investors should use this recovery to reassess portfolio quality, track FII flows closely, and watch for any reversal in crude oil trajectory or rupee volatility that could re-introduce near-term uncertainty.

The sharp bounce back that started from Monday has continued on Tuesday and Nifty registered a decent gain of 233 points. After opening with an upside gap of 250 points, the market stood higher for better part of the session. Sustainable upside was seen towards later part and Nifty closed at the highs. The opening upside gap has almost been filled.
A small red candle was formed on the daily chart with long lower shadow. Technically this market action signals a formation of hanging man or doji type of candle pattern (not a classical one). Formation of these candle pattern is not a bullish sign ahead and this indicates a presence of strong overhead resistance around 24400-24500 levels.
The short-term trend of Nifty is positive, but the overall medium-term remains choppy with weak bias. There is a higher possibility of market coming down from near the crucial hurdle in the next few sessions.

Today, the benchmark indices witnessed a pullback rally. The Nifty ends 234 points higher, while the Sensex was up by 640 points. Among sectors, the Auto index was the top gainer, rallying over 3 percent, whereas the IT index registered intraday profit booking at higher levels. Technically, after a gap-up open, the market held positive momentum throughout the day. On intraday charts, it is forming a reversal pattern, which supports a further uptrend from the current levels.
We are of the view that, in the short term, the market remains weak, but as long as it trades above 24,000-24,100/77500-77700, a pullback move is likely to continue. On the higher side, 24,450-24,500/78800-79000 would be the immediate resistance zone for the bulls. Conversely, a breach of 24,000/77500 could change the sentiment. Below that, the chances of hitting 23,900-23,850/77300-77200 would increase.

Ajit Mishra – SVP, Research, Religare Broking
Markets witnessed a strong rebound on Tuesday, recovering a part of the previous session’s sharp losses amid improved global cues and easing concerns over crude oil prices. The Nifty opened on a firm note following positive global signals but remained range bound thereafter to finally close at 24,261; up by 0.97%.
Sectoral participation remained largely positive. Auto, banking and realty stocks witnessed buying interest, while IT ended marginally lower. On the broader front, midcap and smallcap indices also edged higher, reflecting a relief rally after the recent broad-based sell-off.
Investor sentiment improved slightly as global markets stabilized and crude oil prices cooled from their recent spike, which had earlier triggered concerns over inflation and economic growth. Expectations of easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and supportive cues from global equities also aided the recovery in domestic markets.
On the technical front, the rebound has helped the Nifty move back above the 24,000 mark, indicating some stability after the recent breakdown. However, the index still faces a strong resistance zone around 24,400–24,600, a decisive move above this band is required for a sustainable recovery. On the downside, 23,700–23,900 remains the immediate support zone. Given the prevailing volatility and global uncertainties, participants are advised to remain selective and focus on disciplined risk management while taking fresh positions.

On Tuesday, the benchmark index Nifty opened with a gap up as global crude oil prices corrected sharply after briefly touching a high of $116.19 per barrel. Post the positive opening, the Nifty slipped to an intraday low of 24080, but the index then moved into a steady upward trajectory, indicating renewed buying participation. It eventually closed at 24261.60, registering a gain of nearly 1%. The daily chart shows a small bodied candle with a long lower shadow, highlighting demand at lower levels. The daily RSI also saw a mild rebound, reflecting stabilisation in momentum after recent volatility.
Among Nifty constituents, Shriram Finance and TMPV emerged as the top gainers, while Reliance Industries and Infosys were the major laggards. Sectorally, barring Nifty IT and Nifty Oil & Gas, all other indices ended in the green. Nifty Auto, Nifty Consumer Durables, and Nifty PSU Bank led the rally. Meanwhile, the India VIX cooled off sharply, declining over 19%, indicating easing fear levels.
The broader markets outperformed, with Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 delivering stronger gains compared to the frontline indices. Market breadth was robust, with the Advance/Decline ratio skewed in favour of advancers. From the Nifty 500 universe, 431 stocks closed on a positive note, pointing to broad based buying interest.
Nifty View
Going ahead, the zone of 24370-24400 will act as an important hurdle for the index. Any sustainable move above 24400 will lead to extension of pullback rally upto the 24650 level. On the downside, the 24160–24130 zone will act as immediate support for the index.
Bank Nifty View
The Bank Nifty also witnessed a pullback rally on Tuesday, and it has outperformed frontline the indices. However, it is still trading below its crucial moving averages. The daily RSI has witnessed a minor pullback.
Going ahead, the 200-day EMA zone of 57400-57500 will act as an important hurdle for the index. Any sustainable move above 57500 will lead to extension of pullback rally upto the 58100 level. On the downside, the zone of 56600-56500 will act as immediate support.

Dalal Street mirrored the improvement in global sentiment after the sharp decline in crude oil prices, following comments from Trump hinting at a possible end to the war. However, elevated levels of India VIX continued to signal underlying uncertainty in the market.
Broader markets outperformed the benchmark indices, with most sectors trading in positive territory. Fertilizer stocks advanced after the government prioritized gas allocation to the sector, while oil and gas stocks witnessed some correction due to the curtailment of gas allocation.
In the near term, markets are likely to remain in the woods, with investors closely monitoring signs of geopolitical de-escalation. Greater clarity could trigger value buying in sectors that have been most affected by recent volatility.

The Nifty staged a decent recovery and ended the day with gains after a volatile session. However, the index appears to be approaching a resistance zone, and the 24300–24350 range could act as an area where sellers may look to re-enter the market.
Overall, the sell-on-rise scenario is likely to persist. On the downside, immediate support is placed at 24150; a break below this level could trigger renewed selling pressure. If the index slips below 24150, it may decline further towards 23800.

Bank Nifty witnessed a sharp rebound after breaking below its rising trendline and slipping under the 200-day moving average, as the RSI had entered the oversold zone indicating a possible technical pullback. In the short term, the index is expected to test its 200-day moving average resistance placed near 57,500. Sustaining above this level could lead to further recovery.
However, a stronger bullish view would emerge only after the index reclaims its 50-day moving average. Until then, a cautious stance is advisable with support at 56,200 and resistance at 57,500.

The mutual fund industry continued to demonstrate resilience in February despite volatility stemming from heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Investor flows remained steady, indicating a measured and mature response to market fluctuations. Equity-oriented categories such as Flexi Cap, Mid Cap, and Small Cap funds continued to attract healthy inflows, indicating continued investor preference for diversified and growth-oriented strategies.
At the same time, sustained participation in liquid and hybrid funds highlights a balanced approach toward asset allocation.
Overall, the trend suggests that investors are increasingly focused on long-term investing and are using periods of market volatility to stay invested rather than reacting with short-term panic.

The standout takeaway from February's AMFI data is the resilience of equity inflows despite ongoing market volatility. Categories like Flexi-cap, Mid-cap and Small-cap continued to attract meaningful allocations, a signal that investors are leaning into segments that have witnessed drawdowns and now offer relative value.

At the upper price band of Rs 548, the issue is valued at a P/E ratio of 32.5x based on its 1HFY26 annualized earnings on post-issue capital. Innovision demonstrated resilient performance with Revenue/EBITDA/PAT growing at a CAGR of 86.9%/85.0%/80.8% between FY23-FY25 to Rs 893cr/ Rs 49cr/ Rs 29cr respectively.
When compared to its peers, the IPO valuations appears to be premium. Furthermore, the company exhibits a significant concentration of business in terms of both clients and geographical regions.
It is also facing a considerable number of legal and regulatory challenges, along with debarment notices from some clients. While growth is strong, the margins are very low and are subject to high employee attrition. Hence, we recommend investors to AVOID the issue and monitor the company's performance after it is listed.
