India has set an electric vehicle sales target of 30% by 2030. Still, the country will be home to an overwhelmingly large number of traditional ICE-powered vehicles.
The highly-anticipated Aprilia RS 457 has finally made its way to India. With bookings set to begin on December 15, the new super sport is set to take on the likes of already established players such as the KTM RC390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 400.
November and December constitute an exciting time for motorcycle enthusiasts thanks to a plethora of exciting new launches. With the last two months of the year upon us, we have some very exciting motorcycles to look forward to. While the most exciting of the launches is Royal Enfield’s first liquid-cooled offering, there are also Yamaha's entry-level bikes in the pipeline. You also have Aprilia, which has finally decided to enter the supersport segment with the RS 457.
Diego Graffi explained that the platform used by the RS150 and Touno 150 are dated and cannot be upgraded for want of being price competitive in India.
The SXR 125 is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 9.4 PS of power and 9.2 Nm of torque.
At present Piaggio sells Vespa and Aprilia scooters in India, however, the footprint is small thanks to a smaller dealer network.
Apple has launched the iPhone 12 series just recently and while the phones itself are another talking point altogether, we were wondering what else we could buy for the asking price of Rs 1.5 lakh.
The RS 660 is Aprilia’s newest middleweight motorcycle and in terms of design gets sharp cuts along some curvy surfaces. The overall design language may be from its bigger RSV4 sibling, but it still manages to make its own mark.
The SXR160 was expected to arrive in India sometime in November, according to MD and CEO of Piaggio India, Diego Graffiti, but the teaser suggests an earlier launch.
Joining hands with vehicle and loan financing company, OTO Capital, Piaggio India has started a leasing scheme on all of its Vespa and Aprilia lineup.
The Aprilia RS660 was supposed to be launched a while ago; but the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown restrictions have delayed the launch.
Through the online stores, customers can now explore all the range of Vespa and Aprilia scooters, select their city, dealership, apply for loan and book online by paying Rs 1,000, the company said in a statement.
A China publication states that the image of the new Terra is of that with a 250cc engine. The bike was available in China initially at 125cc and was later upgraded to 150cc and the article suggests that the new 250cc Terra could do well in the Chinese markets.
Suzuki pulled off all stops and brought in its dedicated MotoGP race machine.

Aprilia is expected to develop a 250-300cc motorcycle in the coming years.
Though the companies are yet to announce their official price lists, it can be safely assumed that the scooters will get dearer by at least Rs 18,000 to Rs 19,000.
The RS660 was spotted without camouflage at a special Aprilia owners trackday which was held in Italy a few weeks ago.
