The Noida International Airport in Jewar is being developed in four phases, with a total investment of Rs 29,650 crore.
The move comes close on the heels of its recent acquisition of Beechfield House, Wiltshire, in the UK. Dubai, Mumbai, Goa and Bengaluru among potential destinations.
Over 80 percent of the work at the NIAL terminal had been completed as of end-January 2025, and the rest is on track for the April launch.

Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, successfully conducted its first flight validation test, with an IndiGo aircraft landing after departing Delhi’s IGI Airport. Officials said that because of its proximity with the under construction Noida International Airport in Jewar and upcoming Film City along Yamuna Expressway, Greater Noida has become an “ideal spot” for establishments of commercial, industrial and residential projects.
Four new sectors, including one for residential purposes, will be developed near the upcoming Noida international airport.
The project will be completed in two phases to cover the 72-km line from Greater Noida Knowledge Park 2 – New Delhi.

The final detailed project report for the 72-km link proposed to be built at a cost of Rs 13,000 crore is likely to be submitted in July 2023.
The master plan lays special focus on the development of areas around the upcoming airport through industrial and commercial growth. It also gives priority to affordable housing for industrial workers.
The Rs 800-crore project is proposed to have 12 stations on the 14.6-km route and is expected to draw 35,000 daily commuters.
Changes in the third tender document could include providing for a concession period of 90 years, allocation of smaller land plots, and allowing film- related manufacturing units.
Sources said the company is looking to set up a factory to manufacture rail coaches and wheels.
The Authority has also set aside Rs 1,000 crore for acquiring land in its jurisdiction. Also, land allotment rates have been revised upwards.
The link between the upcoming Noida International Airport and Greater Noida is the part of the metro corridor that will connect Jewar with the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi via the Airport Express Line.
More time is needed for surveys that are key to identifying locations for the proposed metro stations.
