Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu, on Wednesday, shared pictures of himself while he was in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh. To look the part and honour the traditions of the country, Vembu donned a ‘thawb’, which is the national dress of Saudi Arabian men.
Vembu was seen wearing a white ‘thawb’, a long robe worn in Saudi Arabia by men and also the traditional headgear called ‘shemagh’ with an ‘agal’. His colleagues got him to wear the outfit before he flew back to Chennai. He also shared a group picture with his colleagues.
“My colleagues got me the thawb, the Saudi national dress. Last evening dinner in Riyadh before flying back to Chennai,” read the caption of the post.

The post accumulated close to 30,000 views and several reactions from Vembu's friends and followers.
"At first glance, I was like where is Sridhar in this pic? I am used to veshti-clad Sridhar," Ruchit Garg, founder of Harvesting Farmer Network wrote.
One user commented, "Looking like Sheikh Sridhar Vembu." Another user remarked, "All traditional attires suit you well, sir."
Meanwhile, in January this year, the CEO visited Ayodhya a day before the inauguration of Ram Mandir. He was accompanied by his mother, brother and his wife.
“As we came out of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya late last evening, we saw a huge crowd assembled to get in to the Mandir in the morning; they were going to stay overnight waiting in the cold. I am humbled and moved to tears by their devotion. In their bhakti lives Lord Shri Ram,” he wrote in a post on X and also shared a picture with his family.
In his post, Vembu had revealed that his mother was a life-long devotee of Shri Ram and was "very blessed" to be in Ayodhya.
