Managing weight is not an easy task for many. To shed weight, both diet and workout play an important role. While there are several nutritionists to consult and fitness clubs to join, they are expensive and require extra effort. And so, fitness coach Julie recently took to her Instagram account to share 5 ChatGPT prompts that could easily come to your rescue for more personalised advice.

She claimed these ChatGPT prompts will guide you to weight loss and act as a free digital coach, only if you know what to ask. And why not? If ChatGPT can be used for creating travel itineraries, learning languages, and more, then it can also be employed to help you in your fat loss journey.

Here are 5 ChatGPT prompts that Julie suggested, which can be altered based on your personal goals

Calculate your calorie deficit: Diet plays the most important role in a weight loss programme. To create a calorie deficit state, Julie suggested the following command:

“Help me find a healthy calorie deficit. I weigh 180 lbs, I’m 45 years old, female, 5’3”, and work out 3x/week. What should my calorie goal be?”

Get a personalised meal plan: A personalised meal plan helps bring clarity to the amount of nutrition you need and the calories you consume. It also ensures a wholesome diet.

“Create a simple 1700-calorie meal plan that supports blood sugar balance and midlife weight loss. I love chicken and pasta, hate seafood. You’ll get instant meal ideas without endless scrolling.”

Plan workouts for your schedule: Nothing works without a good workout for building an enviable physique. For this, she suggested the following prompt:

“I work 12-hour shifts 3x/week with a 30-min commute. I have 30 mins for exercise Mon–Fri. Create a workout schedule.”

Understand hormone changes: If you are experiencing issues with your body, it’s best to state them and know the causes. For this, the prompt read:

“I’m 52, experiencing mood swings and belly fat gain without lifestyle changes. Explain possible hormonal causes. Get insights to discuss with your doctor.”

Troubleshoot plateaus: Julie suggested clarifying health problems that need work by sharing a prompt like this:

“I’m eating healthy and exercising but can’t lose weight in midlife. What are 3 possible reasons?” Get actionable solutions, not just “eat less, move more.”
