71st National Film Awards 2025

The 71st National Film Awards, announced on August 1, will officially be handed out later this month. The star-studded ceremony is locked for Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, all winners and jury members have already been notified of the date, venue, and arrangements, And as per protocol that  follows, the invitees will receive flight tickets, accommodation, and airport transfers for the ceremony.

Ceremony Details

The prestigious ceremony will now take place on September 23, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu will present the awards to the winners, making it one of the most anticipated evenings in Indian cinema this year.

Among the big names expected to attend are Shah Rukh Khan, who won his first National Award in 33 years for Atlee’s Jawan, and Rani Mukerji, who bagged Best Actress for her powerful turn in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Vikrant Massey will also be present, sharing the Best Actor honour with SRK for his critically acclaimed role in 12th Fail.
