Gurucharan Singh, widely recognised for his role in the popular TV show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,' has returned home after being missing for nearly a month.

The news of his return was shared by the Delhi Police, accompanied by a recent photo of Singh looking healthy and relieved.

The actor, who portrayed the beloved character Roshan Singh Sodhi, had disappeared on April 22, 2024. His disappearance sparked significant concern among his family, friends, and fans. Singh's father filed a First Information Report (FIR) after he failed to return home, leading to a police investigation that included the possibility of kidnapping.

Gurucharan Singh's absence was deeply felt, as his phone was inactive from April 24, and there were no clues about his whereabouts. The police tracked several financial transactions during this period, which provided some leads. It was later discovered that Singh had embarked on a spiritual journey without informing anyone, causing the widespread worry.

During the investigation, the police found that Gurucharan  Singh had visited several gurdwaras in Amritsar and Ludhiana.

He was drawn to meditation and had expressed an interest in traveling to the Himalayas for further spiritual exploration. This revelation came as a surprise to many, as Singh had always been seen as a dedicated actor and family man.

Upon his return, Gurucharan Singh explained that he needed to escape the "worldly life" for a while and immerse himself in spiritual practices. He acknowledged that he should have informed his family and friends about his plans to avoid the distress caused by his sudden disappearance.

The controversy surrounding his disappearance intensified when it was reported that Singh did not take his scheduled flight from Delhi to Mumbai. This led to various speculations about his safety and well-being. His father, Hargit Singh, filed a missing person complaint on April 26, which was taken very seriously by the authorities.

The actor's return on May 17 brought immense relief to his family and fans. His father expressed gratitude to the police for their diligent efforts in tracking down his son and ensuring his safe return. Singh's fans, who had been anxiously waiting for updates, flooded social media with messages of support and relief.

Gurucharan Singh gained fame through his portrayal of Roshan Singh Sodhi in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.' His character was known for being cheerful and friendly, endearing him to audiences across India. Singh left the show in 2013 but made a brief return in 2014. His final departure from the show was in 2020, leaving fans nostalgic for his performance.

This recent incident has reminded everyone of the pressures faced by public figures and the importance of mental and spiritual well-being. Singh's decision to undertake a spiritual journey highlights the need for balance in life, even for those in the public eye. His safe return has been a welcome conclusion to a worrying chapter for his loved ones and admirers.
