Did Taarak Mehta actor Gurucharan Singh plan his own 'disappearance'? Read

'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' actor Gurucharan Singh has been missing for 10 days now, and the Delhi Police have been trying to trace the actor but have not been able to.

Now, according to a report in News18's Showsha, a police source told them that it seems like Gurucharan may have planned his own disappearance.

“He left his phone in the Palam area. We are trying to find him, but it only makes it more difficult for us to trace Gurucharan Singh because this means that the phone is not with the actor. In the CCTV footage we recovered, he was seen moving from one e-rickshaw to another. It looks like he had planned everything and has moved out of Delhi," the police source was quoted.

The written complaint read: “My son Gurucharan Singh, age 50, had left at 8:30 a.m. on April 22 to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, nor has he returned home, and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable, and we had been searching for him, but now he has been missing.”

According to the police, when they scanned the CCTV footage, they found him withdrawing money from an ATM. According to the police, he had withdrawn Rs 7,000 from the ATM.

There were also reports that Gurucharan was facing some financial issues and that the 50-year-old actor was to get married soon.

Gurucharan has been a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since its inception in 2008, but he first quit the show in 2013 for a brief period and then returned to the show. Then he finally left the show in 2020, citing the ill health of his father. He was popular as Roshan Singh Sodhi.

When Moneycontrol.com spoke with Palak Sindhwani, who plays Sonu Bhide on the show, she said they were all shocked and were praying for his early return.
