Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh's disappearance has led to his friends, family and fans worried. The actor, who had played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi for many years in the show, went missing after leaving his home in Delhi.

His father, who stays in Delhi's Palam area, had filed a missing complaint and there is no trace of the actor.

His Taarak Mehta co-stars, especially the young and talented Palak Sindhwani , who is known as Sonu Bhide on the show, are very worried. The actress was in touch with Gurucharan some time ago but not in the recent past.

When Moneycontrol.com got in touch with Palak, she said " I hope he’s fine and he comes back soon."

"I have not been in touch with Gurucharan sir since a very long time, but I hope he’s fine and he comes back soon, we all are hoping and praying for his safety and well being, I’ve had a good time on set with him, such a jolly, positive person he is!! Just hoping to hear that he’s safe and back," Palak told us exclusively.

On being asked about the atmosphere on the sets, Palak said she has not been shooting for the past 3 days but everyone is worried for his well being.

"I’m not shooting since last 3 days, I’ll go on set today but of course everybody is hoping that’s things are well on his end and we get an update soon that he’s safe and alright," she added.

Remembering Gurucharan, with whom she had worked for two years, she said he was a big time foodie.

He was very helpful, cheerful, jolly, big time foodie, fun on set kinda person," she said.

In the latest development, there are reports that Gurucharan was facing financial issues and was stressed due to that. Reports further suggest that the actor was to get married soon.

Palam Police has already filed a kidnapping complaint in the disappearance of Gurucharan. According to his father's complaint, the actor had left Delhi for Mumbai but he never reached the city.

CCTV footage was scanned and Gurucharan was seen outside an ATM near his home.

According to police officials, "His flight was scheduled for 8.30 p.m. on Monday, but he was seen at a traffic intersection in Palam at around 9.14 p.m."

The police are also checking nearby hotels and crossings to look for the actor.

Gurucharan Singh's role as Sodhi in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' was not just a character; he became an integral part of Indian families through their television screens.

He had to quit the show in 2020 following his father's ill health. Despite this and other cast members facing delays in payment clearance, Singh's contributions to the show remained significant.
