Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh, who became famous as Roshan Singh Sodhi in the hit sitcom, had gone missing, and Palam police have also filed a kidnapping complaint.

According to the latest reports, 50-year-old Gurucharan was facing financial issues and was also planning to get married soon.

The actor has been missing for the past six days. His father, who stays in Delhi, had filed a missing complaint after Gurucharan didn't reach Mumbai.

His car was also spotted on the CCTV cameras, and that was the last time he was spotted before he went missing.
Police have said that Gurucharan had also withdrawn Rs 7,000 from an ATM in the capital.

The actor had not been active in the world of entertainment since he quit the show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' in 2020.

His father had filed a missing persons complaint on April 22, saying that his son had left for Mumbai but never reached his destination.

A missing complaint filed by Gurucharan Singh's father read: "My son Gurucharan Singh, age 50, had left at 8:30 a.m. on April 22nd to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn't reach Mumbai, nor has he returned home, and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable, and we had been searching for him, but now he has been missing!"

According to police officials, "His flight was scheduled for 8.30 p.m. on Monday, but he was seen at a traffic intersection in Palam at around 9.14 p.m.."

The police are also checking nearby hotels and crossings to look for the actor.

Gurucharan Singh's role as Sodhi in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' was not just a character; he became an integral part of Indian families through their television screens. His decision to leave the show was to focus on his family, especially due to his father's health issues. Despite this and other cast members facing delays in payment clearance, Singh's contributions to the show remained significant.
