Actor Ambika Ranjankar, known for her long-standing role as Komal Hathi in the hit sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been absent from the show in recent episodes. Her absence has left fans speculating if she has quit the show. Several social media users shared concerns online about whether Ambika was the most recent cast member to leave the show.
However, Ambika has now come forward to clarify the speculations. In a recent interview with Telly Chakkar, the actress addressed the rumours.
She shared, “No, I haven’t quit the show. I am very much a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.” She further explained her temporary absence, adding, “Well, for some personal reasons, I was away. I needed some time for myself.”
Dilip Joshi, Nirmal Soni, Munmun Dutta, Amit Bhatt, Sunayana Fozdar, Sachin Shroff, Mandar Chandwadkar, Sonalika Joshi, and others are part of the ensemble cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The show revolves around the day-to-day lives of the inhabitants of Gokuldham Society, a thriving housing colony where families from various cultural backgrounds coexist peacefully, and continues to captivate viewers.
The show introduced a new Rajasthani family, the Binjolas, creating a buzz among the fans. Actor Kuldeep Gor portrays Ratan Binjola, who owns a saree shop. Dharti Bhatt plays Rupa Baditop, his influencer-wife. Akshaan Sehrawat and Maahi Bhadra play their kids, Veer and Bansari.
However, Ambika Ranjankar has also starred in films and web content, including Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar (2001) and Dosti Ka Naya Maidan (2019).
