Gold, silver prices today on November 7: Gold prices held steady as investors balanced unexpectedly weak US employment data with remarks from a Federal Reserve official that tempered hopes for deeper interest-rate cuts, Bloomberg reported. Bullion traded near $3,987 an ounce on Friday after paring earlier losses to close largely unchanged in the previous session.
