The makers of Thama, produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, have finally unveiled Rashmika Mandanna’s much-awaited first look as “Tadaka.” Released on Social media with the caption introducing her as “Roshni ki ek hi pehli kiran,” the poster immediately set social media abuzz.
The film, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika in lead roles, has been in discussion since its announcement in 2024, and fans have eagerly awaited updates.
Rashmika’s portrayal of Tadaka has drawn a flood of reactions from the audience, with opinions sharply divided. While many fans hailed her as “Pan India’s heroine,” others criticized both the look and the concept. One admirer commented, “Honestly Rashmika didn’t even act here, she just ruled the screen effortlessly.” Another wrote, “This is why she’s called Pan India’s heroine, nobody does it like her.”
However, the response wasn’t entirely positive. Some users voiced strong disapproval, drawing cultural and creative comparisons.
Another user remarked, “BGM reminded me of Hatim BGM.” Others pointed out similarities with the Hollywood film Brave, with a post reading, “Copy hai bhai Brave ki.”
The contrast in opinions highlights Rashmika’s presence in the industry. While her loyal fanbase continues to support her fiercely, detractors remain equally vocal. Nonetheless, the unveiling of Tadaka has ensured that Thama remains a hot topic of discussion ahead of its release.
With Ayushmann Khurrana playing a lead role opposite her, the film promises to be a blend of fantasy, drama, and spectacle.
The film will be released on October 20, 2025.
