Famous for his part in the 2023 sci-fi action movie Ganapath, which starred Tiger Shroff, actor Faraz Khan has made grave accusations against Vashu Bhagnani's production company, Pooja Entertainment, in public.
Despite fulfilling his role in accordance with the terms of the contract, Khan has accused the studio of not paying him for almost two years.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Faraz shared a detailed statement outlining his grievances, naming both the production house and those involved in the project. He wrote, “My name is Faraz Khan. I was hired by Pooja Entertainment to play the role of Thabeel in the Hindi feature film Ganapath, directed by Vikas Bahl. My co-actor Armaan Khera and I shared nearly every scene, like on-screen twins. While he has been paid in full, I haven’t received a single rupee of what I’m owed."
The actor further alleged that all his attempts to follow up with the studio were met with vague or misleading responses. Expressing his frustration, he added, “All top-billed cast and crew members have been paid—many with exorbitant fees. But when it comes to compensating the so-called ‘small guy’ like me, they choose to ignore and manipulate. It’s more than just unprofessional—it’s disgraceful."
Faraz described his experience as an example of systemic exploitation within the film industry, claiming he was treated with “dishonesty, disrespect, and deliberate delay.” He stated, “Let the industry and the public know how Pooja Entertainment treats its actors: with dishonesty, disrespect, and deliberate delay. I refuse to be silenced."
Issuing a firm ultimatum, Faraz warned that unless his payment is made and a public apology issued, he will pursue legal action, involve the media, and speak out across public platforms to “expose” the studio. “Pay your people. Honour your contracts. Stop harassing independent artists," he concluded.
These charges come as Pooja Entertainment continues to face financial challenges. After big-budget films like Ganapath and Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan failed, the studio reportedly faced growing debt in 2024. Similar concerns regarding unpaid wages had previously been raised by a number of crew members. The Bhagnanis reportedly sold their lavish Juhu office in June 2024 to help pay off debts totalling an estimated Rs 250 crore in an attempt to alleviate their financial crisis.
