Musician Zakir Hussain won the Grammy award in the Best Global Music Performance category on Sunday, for his work in "Pashto" alongside Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer, featuring Rakesh Chaurasia.

Earlier, Hussain's band "Shakti" won the Grammy award in the Best Global Music Album category for "This Moment", defeating competition from the likes of defeated competition from artists such as Bokante, Susana Baca, Davido and Burna Bay.
