Queen Latifah made a striking appearance at the 67th Grammy Awards, not just for her presence but also for her stunning outfit. The rapper and actress wore a custom-made black cape designed by Indian couturier Rahul Mishra.

This was a big moment for Indian fashion, showcasing its craftsmanship on a global stage.

Latifah presented the Dr. Dre Impact Award wearing a piece from Mishra's Spring/Summer 2025 haute couture collection, called "The Pale Blue Dot."

Her floor-length cape, named "The Reverberating Metropolis," was a true work of art. It featured three-dimensional structures resembling skyscrapers, all meticulously hand-embroidered with threads and sequins.

The cape was created in Rahul Mishra's workshop in Noida, India. It took over 1200 hours of work to complete. The design includes sixty-six pyramid-shaped structures of varying sizes, creating a unique and futuristic look.

Latifah's powerful all-black ensemble, with the dramatic cape as the centerpiece, perfectly complemented her role in honoring Alicia Keys with the Global Impact Award.

The "Pale Blue Dot" collection itself is inspired by themes of loss and healing, which resonated with the Grammys' focus on wildfire relief efforts and supporting musicians affected by the fires in Los Angeles.

The cape had previously been showcased at Paris Couture Week by model Coco Rocha. For the Grammys, Latifah paired it with a sparkling necklace, adding to the regal and dramatic effect.

The Grammy Awards ceremony was a star-studded event, with many famous musicians and celebrities in attendance. The show featured performances by artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Cynthia Erivo, The Weekend, and Shakira. Queen Latifah's choice of attire, however, made a particular statement, highlighting the talent and artistry of Indian fashion designers on a global platform.
