‘Friends’ actress Courteney Cox revealed late Matthew Perry still ‘visits’ her

‘Friends’ co-stars Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry shared a special onscreen and offscreen bond.

The ‘Scream’ actress recently sad down with CBS Sunday Morning and revealed that she still feels the presence of the late actor Matthew Perry around her.

Courteney Cox told the publication, “I think he's probably one of the funniest human beings in the world. You know, he's just so funny. He is genuinely a huge heart, obviously struggled. I'm so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years. He visits me a lot, if we believe in that… I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew – I feel like there are a lotta people that are, I think, that guide us. I do sense, yeah, I sense Matthew's around for sure.”

"I'm just grateful that I had that opportunity to work with such wonderful people, and to live the life that I have now. That was my family. I mean, we went through everything. Those ten years were everything – they're my family,” she continued.

Matthew Perry played the iconic character of Chandler Bing alongside Courteney Cox’s Monica Geller on the hit sitcom ‘Friends’. The cast also included Jennifer Aniston as Rachel, David Schwimmer as Ross, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe and Matt Le-Blanc as Joey.

After the news of Perry’s passing was made known, the cast released a joint statement expressing their grief over the tragic loss.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. In time we will say more, as and when we are able… For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

Cox then posted a clip from the series as a tribute to the actor.

She wrote, I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favourites. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind.”
