Yash Raj Films (YRF), India’s premier film studio and the powerhouse behind the nation’s biggest franchises, has officially announced the global IMAX release of its most awaited action blockbuster of the year — War 2. The film, part of the iconic YRF Spy Universe, will debut in IMAX theatres worldwide on August 14, 2025, including key international territories such as North America, the Middle East, UK & Europe, Australasia, Africa, and Southeast Asia, in sync with its grand domestic release in India.

Marking 50 days to release, YRF unveiled striking new character posters featuring the film’s powerhouse cast — Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr., and Kiara Advani — further building excitement for what promises to be a cinematic spectacle like no other.

War 2 continues the explosive legacy of YRF’s Spy Universe, following global blockbusters such as Pathaan, Tiger 3, and the original War. With Pathaan already ranked among the top-grossing IMAX releases in Indian cinema history, anticipation for War 2 is soaring.
