War 2 OTT release date update: When and where to watch Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s action drama on OTT

The wait is over. Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s much-hyped action thriller War 2 has finally made its digital debut. After a strong theatrical run and months of speculation, the sequel to War is now available to stream on Netflix.

War 2 started streaming on Netflix from October 9, 2025. The film is available in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, giving audiences across India and abroad a chance to experience the YRF Spy Universe’s latest installment from the comfort of home. Whether you’re watching on your phone, laptop, or smart TV, the film is just a click away.

Netflix India announced the news with the caption: “Double the rage. Double the rampage. Ready for the War? Watch War 2, out 9 October on Netflix.” Fans flooded the comments with excitement, especially those who missed the theatrical run earlier this year.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 continues the YRF Spy Universe that began with Ek Tha Tiger and later expanded through Pathaan and Tiger 3. Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as Agent Kabir, while Jr NTR makes a fiery Bollywood debut alongside Kiara Advani.

The sequel follows Kabir’s mission as global tensions rise, leading to an explosive face-off with Jr NTR’s character, a formidable agent from another nation. The film is packed with elaborate chase sequences, exotic locations, and a soundtrack that complements its high-octane narrative.

While War 2 didn’t match the record-breaking numbers of War (2019), it still grossed a solid Rs 364.25 crore worldwide. Critics had mixed reactions, praising the performances and action choreography but pointing out uneven pacing and overuse of VFX.

Earlier this month, Hrithik reflected on the experience, writing, “Everything seemed so perfect. Like it’s meant to be. A sure shot... But something was lurking behind that certainty.”

With War 2 now on Netflix, the franchise sets the stage for its next chapter, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh, and Bobby Deol, expected to expand the spy universe even further.
