Avantika Malik, former wife of Bollywood actor Imran Khan, recently shared an emotional post on Instagram, reflecting on the challenging period of her divorce. Although she did not directly mention Imran or their separation, Avantika described how the year 2019 was a turning point that left her deeply affected.
The heartfelt post emphasized resilience, forgiveness, and hope. Avantika wrote, “The truth is, the number of days we have here is actually not so large… I hope you show up for it. Risk your heart. Express.” She urged her followers to embrace life’s challenges, love deeply, and hold onto hope even in the darkest moments.
In the caption, Avantika revealed her thoughts after meeting friends she hadn’t seen since 2019. She shared, “The last time they saw me was 2019, the year I broke and unraveled… And then they saw me now. They said they finally see me being authentic, the real me, with joy and a glow in my eyes. The best thing they said was that I was ‘living.’”
Reflecting on her journey, Avantika credited hope for helping her navigate the turmoil of divorce. “In the darkest, bleakest moments, I reminded myself that if I focus on putting out the love within me, the universe will generously reflect that back to me. What is within is without,” she added.
Avantika and Imran, childhood sweethearts, tied the knot in 2011 in a lavish ceremony. They welcomed their daughter Imara during their eight-year marriage, which ended in 2019. While Avantika has kept a low profile since their separation, Imran has been linked to actress and artist Lekha Washington.
