In a world driven by social media trends, it is easy to be influenced by health talk that holds hidden commercial intent and doesn’t serve any real benefit when it comes to nutrition and weight loss.

Taking to her Instagram account, Rujuta Diwekar addressed the issue of unsustainable diets that are increasingly being adopted by people and 5 signs that may indicate you are on the wrong path. Take a look!

1). Focus on a Single Nutrient

She wrote, “Your diet is dominant in a single nutrient. Living in 2025, it is in all probability protein.” And undoubtedly, there’s a lot of talk about protein with little focus on other nutrients that are responsible for wholesome nutrition. She added how this creates an imbalance inside the body.

2). Giving up on Condiments

The health expert added how giving up on the daily dose of condiments can lead to cravings for salty, sugary, and spicy foods at night. This indicates how such deprivations lead to unhealthy snacking habits, which don’t help with weight management.

3). Worrying About Overeating

Rujuta shared that cutting back on rotis and rice only because you stress over excessive eating doesn’t make you lose weight; rather, it makes you “lose your confidence and clarity.” Carbs are as needed for the body to sustain itself as other nutrients. Stress leads to cravings and causes much more damage.

4). Refraining Sweets on Festivals

She wrote, “You have begun to think that Modak on Ganpati, sheer korma on Eid, cake on Christmas amounts to cheating.” The popular celeb nutritionist has always propagated celebrating festivals without going on a guilt trip. She shared how not doing so will drive you away from the true joy of living a good life.

5). Cabinet Full of Probiotic Drinks, Digestive Concoctions etc

For a generation influenced by social media trends, Rujuta slammed a cabinet with “a probiotic drink, a prebiotic supplement, and some digestive concoction.” She detailed, “You don’t remember the last time you felt fully clear in your stomach. Something is always hanging around.”
