Celebrities, especially actors in Bollywood, follow a strict fitness regimen and eat healthy, as they need to look good. While most of them adhere to a routine, there are some for whom being healthy is a way of life. And it’s not only physical health that they focus on. Many are spreading awareness about the importance of being mentally healthy too. Here are some who motivate and inspire their fans:

1. Did you notice the HRX boxing bag in Fighter - director Siddharth Anand's film that was at the No. 1 spot among films on Netflix India last month? Hrithik Roshan’s fetish for a healthy lifestyle is legendary. Not only does he spend hours in a well-equipped personal gym, working out regularly, but believes in eating healthy too. His diet is protein centric and he is particular about his calorie-intake too. His fitness brand HRX makes fitness equipment from free weights to fitness bands and activewear.

2. Kriti Sanon is a yoga fan and prefers that route to stay healthy apart from a gym. She strongly urges fans to exercise and do yoga or whatever to take care of their bodies. She enjoys dancing as a means of staying fit.

3. Malaika Arora tops the list when it comes to sharing her love for all things fitness and health on social media and other channels. Apart from hitting the gym and doing yoga, she is careful about what she eats and prefers to stay healthy. Her social media posts are often about fitness and health and she strongly advocates it to others. Indeed her love of fitness routines is so well-known, it has been written into the scripts of entertainment properties like Netflix film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan in which Adarsh Gourav's character gives her a personal training session.

5. Shilpa Shetty Kundra doing the scorpion pose is easily one of the more memorable celebrity yoga videos to come out of Bollywood. The gorgeous diva is the epitome of good health and exhorts everyone to eat healthy as well as do exercises to stay fit. She prefers to lead by example and does yoga, cooks healthy dishes - some of which she shares on her Instagram, thus motivating many with her idea of being healthy. Shilpa Shetty's Simple Soulful app and Instagram channel are all about dispensing fitness tips.

6. Rakul Preet Singh is fastidious about being healthy too and emphasises the need for discipline. She is regular in the gym, but prefers other activities too, to stay fit and healthy, to break monotony.

7. & 8. No list on Bollywood celebrities known for their love of fitness and focus on health can be complete without talking about - who else - Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, 34. At 56, Akshay Kumar is still very fit. Not just in their films, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff kicked things off at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League 2024 with great energy.
