A lot of us are scared of lizards. Just the sight of them is enough for some people to let out a scream. Ever wondered why do lizards come to homes? Well, they are insectivores and they come inside looking for insects like mosquitoes, flies and ants. They also come in hopes of finding a warm and safe shelter.
If you spot a lizard next time around in your house, instead of feeling scared and running away from it, there are few easy hacks you can try to catch them. Of course, it is hard to catch them, because they are agile and move very fast. However, all you need to have is presence of mind.
Listed below are some tips that you must bear in mind when embarking on the journey to catch a lizard.
Use a Jar and PaperFind a jar or a cup and a piece of stiff paper. Slowly place the jar over the lizard. Carefully slide the paper under the jar to trap the lizard inside. Lift the jar with the paper and take the lizard outside.

Make a Simple Trap with a Box
Put some sticky tape (sticky side out) inside a small box. Place some crumbs or small insects inside as bait. When the lizard goes in for food, it will get stuck. Release it outside carefully.
Use a Cloth or Towel
Wait for the lizard to rest. Gently cover it with a cloth or towel. Scoop it up carefully and take it outside.
Turn Off Lights
Turn off the lights in the room and turn on a light near an open door or window. Lizards are attracted to light and insects, so they will move toward the light and you can catch or guide them outside.
Keep Calm and Move Slowly
Lizards get scared with quick movements. Move slowly and quietly to avoid scaring it away.
