The Akhtar family enjoyed a lively celebration on Wednesday night, with Farhan Akhtar sharing a heartwarming photo of himself, Farah Khan, and his sister-in-law Anusha Dandekar, all celebrating their birthdays together.

The photo captured a delightful cake-cutting moment, with the family members radiating joy. Farhan’s touching post offered a peek into the close bond they share, as they gathered to celebrate this special event. The celebrations exuded warmth and affection, making the occasion all the more unforgettable.

On Thursday, Farhan took to his Instagram to share a picture which featured himself, seated in the middle. He smiled, wearing a black t-shirt. Seated on his left is their cousin, filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan, who shares her birthday with Farhan and turned 60 on Thursday. Farah who was closing her eyes, looks happy wearing a navy blue kurti. Holding Farhan's right arm is his sister-in-law and former VJ Anusha Dandekar, the sister of his wife and actor Shibani Dandekar. Anusha twins with Farhan in a black dress, grinning. Three birthday cakes with candles can be seen in the table in front of all three of them.

Farhan Akhtar's sister, Zoya Akhtar also shared the same photo earlier with caption “Bring It In (red heart emoji).” She added some interesting hashtags to her caption: ‘Birthday babies,’ ‘All number 9,’ ‘Capricornia,', ‘Three’s company,' and ‘Hum cake khane ke liye kahin bhi ja sakte hain’ (We can go anywhere to eat cake), quoting the popular dialogue from Farhan's 2001 cultdirectorial debut Dil Chahta Hai in which Zoya served as an assistant director to Farhan, while Farah was the choreographer.

Fahran commented on Zoya's post, “Awwwww best birthday bringing in.. thank you zoeeyyyy (red heart emoji) lov my family.”

Actors Huma Qureshi and Siddhant Chaturvedi, along with Shweta Bachchan, also expressed their love by commenting red heart emojis on the post.

Farah Khan shared the picture on her Instagram Stories, adding a heartfelt message: “To all the Capri 9's… happy birthday.” She also took a moment to thank Zoya, Shibani, and her aunt, veteran screenwriter Honey Irani, for making the celebration so special and beautiful.

On the work front, Farah Khan's most recent choreography work was for the title song of Ishq Vishk Rebound last year. Farhan Akhtar will next appear in 120 Bahadur and is set to direct Don 3. Meanwhile, Zoya Akhtar's latest project saw her co-producing the docuseries Angry Young Men.
