Diljit Dosanjh has confirmed that his highly anticipated film Punjab ’95 has been delayed and will no longer release on February 7 as originally scheduled.

The film, which is based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, was set for a global release next month without any cuts—except in India. Addressing the delay, Dosanjh shared a message about the film’s release on his Instagram story.

"We are sorry and it pains us to inform you that the movie ’Punjab ’95’ will not release on 7th Feb due to circumstances beyond our control," he wrote.

The film features Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role, alongside Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Vicky, known for his performance in Kohraa.

Diljit  has announced that his much-awaited film, Punjab 95, will have a global release on February 7, without any cuts. However, the film will not be releasing in India at this time, due to ongoing issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Diljit had earlier had shared the trailer of the film Punjab 95 on Instagram along with the caption, "Panjab ’95 releases in Cinemas Internationally only on 7th February. P.S. Full Movie, No Cuts #ChallengetheDarkness."

Helmed by Honey Trehan and backed by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies, the film explores Jaswant Singh Khalra’s unwavering fight for justice during Punjab’s turbulent militancy era, focusing on his investigations into human rights abuses and the enforced disappearances of Sikhs.
