Salman Khan finally speaks out on his reported fallout with Arijit Singh.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has finally opened up about the most-talked-about misunderstanding in recent memory between his fallout with singer Arijit Singh in the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Big Boss 19.

The Sikandar actor revealed that they are good friends and there was never any enmity between the two of them. He also clarified that the misunderstanding was not from Arijit’s side but from his side.

On the latest episode of Big Boss, Salman Khan said that the misunderstanding was from his own side and not from Arijit’s side.

The actor, while having a conversation with comedian Ravi Gupta, said, “Arijit aur main bahut achhe dost hai. Woh misunderstanding thi aur woh misunderstanding mere side se huyi thi. Uske baad usne gaane bhi kiye mere liye.”

He added, “Tiger 3 mein kiya usne, agge Galwan (Battle of Galwan) mein kar raha hai (Arijit and I are very good friends. That misunderstanding had happened from my side. After that, he even sang songs for me — he sang in Tiger 3 and now he’s doing one in Galwan).”

What happened between Salman Khan and Arijit Singh?

The event that led to almost ten years of rumours began in 2014 at the Star Guild Awards. Arijit Singh took the stage to receive an award after becoming famous for his song Tum Hi Ho.

Arijit greeted the hosts, including Salman Khan, wearing a casual outfit and clearly exhausted from back-to-back performances.

Salman, who is known for his quick humour, made fun of him by asking, "So gaye the?" (Were you sleep?).” Surprised, Arijit laughed and replied, "Aap logon ne sula diya yaar." (You guys put me to sleep).”

Although the audience laughed, Salman apparently didn't like the remark and took it as an unintended slight.

Soon after the event, rumours speculated that Arijit’s remark had left Salman offended.

Over the next few years, there were rumours that Salman had removed Arijit's song covers from Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Sultan, among other Salman films. The most well-known of these was Sultan's "Jag Ghoomeya," which Rahat Fateh Ali Khan eventually sang in place of Arijit.

But in 2016, when the matter didn’t stop, the singer took to his social media handle and publicly apologised to Salman Khan.

Arijit requested Salman to forgive him and mentioned that he never meant to disrespect him, and all this happened because of the bad timing and misunderstood humour.

The singer’s post went viral, with fans urging the star actor to accept Arijit’s apology. After Arijit’s apology, none of them spoke about the matter publicly to date.
