Mika Singh’s recent allegations against actress Bipasha Basu have stirred controversy in the entertainment industry. The singer-producer claimed that Bipasha’s alleged tantrums significantly increased the production cost of his film Dangerous, which she starred in alongside her husband, Karan Singh Grover.
Mika revealed that the budget of the film, which was initially around Rs 4 crore, escalated to Rs 14 crore due to various issues caused by Bipasha. He further stated, “The drama created by Bipasha ensured that I would always regret getting into production.”
According to Mika, Bipasha was initially comfortable with the film’s team, but during the shoot, she allegedly refused to do certain scenes and caused delays.
“Suddenly, she was throwing tantrums saying she won’t do this or she won’t do that, etc. Someone always had a sore throat. If it was Bipasha who was sick at one time, it was Karan at another,” Mika claimed. He also said that her unprofessional behavior was one of the reasons why she was currently out of work. “Why do you think they are out of work now? God is watching everything,” he said in an interview.

In response to these accusations, Bipasha Basu took to Instagram to share a cryptic post about toxicity. She posted a quote that read, “Toxic people create chaos, point fingers, shift blame, and avoid taking responsibility.” Alongside this, she wrote, “Stay away from toxicity and negativity. God bless all. Dugga Dugga.” While she did not directly address Mika’s statements, the timing of her post led many to believe it was a response to his remarks.

The controversy surrounding Dangerous has resurfaced years after its release. Mika had initially planned it as a low-budget film, mainly as a platform to showcase his music. However, he now claims that due to the unnecessary overhead costs and complications, he deeply regrets getting involved in film production.
Bipasha and Karan, who met while working on Alone in 2015 and got married in 2016, have maintained a relatively private life in recent years. While Mika’s comments have brought them back into the limelight, Bipasha’s indirect response suggests she has no intention of engaging in a public feud.
The entertainment industry remains divided over Mika’s statements, with some defending Bipasha, calling out the lack of evidence, while others argue that actors should maintain professionalism on set. Whether or not Bipasha will make a direct statement on the matter remains to be seen.
