The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards were held at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on Sunday night. The award ceremony was hosted by LL Cool J, with several A-list celebrities gracing the red carpet.

Music icons, including K Pop singer Rosé, Wicked actress and singer Ariana Grande, and Lady Gaga, among others, won big at the MTV VMAs 2025. Lady Gaga was the first artist of the night to be honoured with the award. She received Artist of the Year, just two days after she was forced to cancel a show in Miami due to an “extremely strained” voice.

Ricky Martin accepted the first Latin Icon Award, Busta Rhymes was given the first Rock the Bells Visionary Award, and Mariah Carey was awarded the Video Vanguard Award. Additionally, all three artists performed at the award ceremony.
