With its portrayal of a nuanced and intense mother-son relationship, the movie represents a significant comeback for the pair.

Pradeep Chilukuri, who is most known for directing Raja Cheyyi Veste (2016),Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi pushes Kalyan Ram beyond his typical on-screen persona by fusing suspenseful elements with high-octane action and multi-layered storytelling. The actor is most recognised for his ease in action-packed parts, but the additional emotional nuance and plot twists give him a chance to show off a different side.

At its core, the film revolves around Arjun Vishwanath (Kalyan Ram), an aspiring IPS officer, and his mother Vyjayanthi (Vijayashanti), a principled and upright police officer. However, when Arjun turns to vigilantism to combat injustice, a rift develops between them. “Arjun takes up the path of violence to become a vigilante in the city. Upset with his choices, Vyjayanthi keeps him away,” the synopsis reveals.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi earned approximately Rs 3.00 crore on its opening day across India, showing promising signs despite stiff box office competition. The film recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 28.34% on Friday.

Srikanth who appears as the new police commissioner delivers a solid performance. On the other hand Sohail Khan’s role as the villain Pathan lacks depth and fails to impress."
