Allu Arjun walks out of Trivikram’s next; Jr NTR likely to come on board: Report

Allu Arjun and Trivikram Srinivas’ combo had huge craze among the fans of Telugu cinema, as they teamed up in Julayi, S/O Satyamurthy and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which were big hits at the box office. But in a shocking twist, it seems the highly-anticipated fourth pair up may not come to fruition as expected.

As per a report by 123Telugu,  Allu Arjun has reportedly walked out of Trivikram’s next film. Instead, the attention could be focused on Jr NTR, who has emerged as the name that is rumoured to be considered for the lead role for which the Pushpa star was initially written.

This untitled movie is said to have mythological elements which Trivikram has not touched base with in a long while. If Jr NTR comes on board for the project, it will be his second film with the filmmaker after the action-packed high-voltage drama, Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava.

Though the makers have not yet confirmed the news, it has found resonance with NTR fans and has raised curiosity, as it may reportedly have a genre-bending plot.

It's not exactly clear why this curious casting change was made. Rumours had it that scheduling conflicts, creative differences, or even the size and type of the project might have made the team reconsider. Given that Allu Arjun is currently busy with Pushpa 2: The Rule, his schedule was cited as a reason for walking out of Trivikram’s next project.

The actor Jr NTR is already doing a handful of big projects. Just say if you want to and he’s all game for War 2, where he will be seen in the film with Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. The YRF spy universe film will be released on August 14, 2025, and is directed by Ayan Mukerji.

He also has a pan-Indian action entertainer in the works, which is being speculated to be called Dragon, the film sees him partner with KGF and Salaar director Prashanth Neel.

And Trivikram's last film Guntur Kaaram, which he directed with Mahesh Babu, did reasonably well at the box office, but failed to impress in terms of critical acclaim and sustained impact. With his upcoming film boasting of a filmic, mythic tone, collaborating with a senior actor, power-packed opponent, the likes of Jr NTR, may just be the shot in the arm that his storytelling needs, at this point.
