Allu Arjun praises Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1, writes, "I was in a trance watching it"

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 is winning hearts and breaking records at the box office. Actor Allu Arjun recently praised both the film and Shetty’s performance.

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 has achieved yet another milestone at the box office, officially overtaking Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava to become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025.

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 continues to make waves, earning both commercial success and widespread acclaim from audiences and industry insiders. Actor Allu Arjun has recently joined the chorus of admirers, praising the film and Rishab Shetty’s performance.

Taking to X, Allu Arjun wrote an elaborate note on Friday, along with the poster of Kantara.

He praised Rishab for taking up multiple roles of acting, directing and more. Allu Arjun wrote, "Watched #Kantara last night. Wow, what a mind-blowing film. I was in a trance watching it. Kudos to @shetty_rishab garu for a one-man show as writer, director, and actor. He excelled in every craft."

He then mentioned the great performances by other actors in the film. "Aesthetic performances by @rukminitweets garu, #Jayaram garu, @gulshandevaiah garu, and others. Brilliant work by the technicians…especially the music by @AJANEESHB garu, cinematography by #AravindSKashyap garu, art direction by @DharaniGange91 garu, and stunts by #ArjunRaj garu."

The Pushpa actor concluded stating, "Big congratulations to producer @VKiragandur garu and the entire @hombalefilms team. Honestly, words fall short to describe the experience. Lots of love, admiration, and respect."

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 has achieved yet another milestone at the box office, officially overtaking Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava to become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. Trade trackers report that the mythological-action spectacle has collected over Rs 809 crore worldwide, surpassing Chhaava’s lifetime earnings of around Rs 807 crore.

In India alone, Kantara has earned approximately Rs 557 crore net, while its overseas collections have added another 13 million dollars, pushing its global total to record-breaking heights.

Released in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, the film has crossed language barriers and winning hearts of the audiences across all over the country and worldwide.
