Taking matters into her own hands, the mother-in-law devised an unusual plan.

A mother-in-law exposed her daughter-in-law’s extramarital affair, culminating in a confrontation that caught public attention in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha.

The woman, whose husband was often away at work, allegedly spent her time chatting with another man from Sambhal on Facebook Messenger. Her behaviour raised suspicions when her mother-in-law noticed her frequent use of her phone while neglecting household responsibilities. Over time, the mother-in-law grew increasingly wary of her daughter-in-law’s actions.

Curious and concerned, the mother-in-law eventually accessed her daughter-in-law’s phone and discovered evidence of the affair. The woman had reportedly been exchanging messages with the man daily but would delete them before her husband returned home to avoid detection.

Taking matters into her own hands, the mother-in-law devised an unusual plan. Using her daughter-in-law’s social media account, she arranged a meeting with the man to confront him. The rendezvous was set for Sunday at Indra Chowk in Gajraula.

When the man arrived at the meeting spot, expecting to see the woman he had been speaking to, he was instead met by her angry mother-in-law. Witnesses reported that she berated him and began hitting him with a slipper in full view of the public, creating a scene that quickly attracted onlookers.

The commotion led to someone informing the local police. However, by the time authorities reached the spot, both the mother-in-law and the man had fled, leaving no opportunity for further investigation.

Meanwhile, local authorities have not released any additional details regarding the altercation.
