Actor Trisha Krishnan takes legal action against ex-AIADMK leader AV Raju over defamatory remarks.

Trisha, the renowned actor, has taken a firm stance against former All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader AV Raju following his derogatory remarks against her. Raju, who was expelled from AIADMK on February 17 due to party rule violations, faced Trisha's ire after a video containing inappropriate comments about her went viral.

Expressing her disdain on social media, Trisha slammed Raju for his actions. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she stated, "It's disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain attention. Rest assured, necessary and severe action will be taken. Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department (sic)."

In response to what she said, Trisha has taken a bold step in response to defamatory comments made against her by politician A V Raju. Sharing copies of the legal notice sent by her lawyers to Raju on her Platform X timeline, Trisha seeks an unconditional apology within 24 hours of receipt.

In the notice, Trisha's legal representatives, Nithyaesh and Vaibhav, demand not only an apology but also its publication in reputable English and Tamil newspapers with substantial circulation. Additionally, they insist on Raju refraining from further slanderous remarks and removing all offensive statements made against Trisha across various media platforms.

Furthermore, the lawyers seek financial compensation for the damage caused to Trisha's reputation and mental well-being, with Raju given a four-day deadline to fulfill this obligation. The notice comes amidst widespread criticism of Raju's derogatory remarks, prompting support from various quarters, including prominent figures in the film industry such as actors Cheran and Vishal.

Trisha's decisive action underscores her commitment to defending her integrity and reputation in the face of unwarranted attacks, emphasizing the importance of accountability and respect within the realm of Tamil cinema and beyond.
