American actor Charlie Sheen was assaulted by a woman at his Malibu home on Wednesday. The woman, a neighbour, has since been arrested, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities arrived at the residence Wednesday afternoon after receiving a battery-disturbance call. They reached the actor’s Malibu residence around 1 pm after receiving the 911 call. Once at the scene, they arrested Electra Schrock, 47, for assault with a deadly weapon and residential burglary.
According to a Fox News report, Schrock rang the doorbell to Sheen’s home and forced her way in after the Two and a Half Men star opened the door.
She attempted to strangle Sheen and tore his shirt, according to the report. “The suspect, Electra Schrock, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to create great bodily injury … and residential burglary,” a Los Angeles police spokesperson told the news outlet.
Police did not specify what weapon was used in the attack.

Schrock, 47, was expected to appear in court Friday.
Representatives for Sheen did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The actor is known for his role on Two and a Half Men. He starred in films including Wall Street,The Three Musketeers and Major League.
