Zerodha co-founder Nithin Kamath was seen in a rare personal moment away from the world of finance, joining his wife and son for an impromptu musical performance at a house gathering. The occasion was captured by his mother, Revathi Kamath, and later posted on her Facebook account, where it drew warm reactions.
The footage showed Kamath seated with a guitar, singing the well-known track "Aage Jaane Ram Kya Hoga" by the band Euphoria. His wife, Seema Patil, and their young son joined in, creating what Revathi described as a relaxed family jam session. The short clip, filmed during a house party, offered a glimpse of the business leader’s artistic side, which his mother was keen to share with her friends and followers.
It was not the first time a musical exchange within the Kamath family had found its way online. Earlier this year, a separate video attracted attention for showing a joint recital by Revathi Kamath and her grandson Kiaan. The performance took place at the Shyamalakrishna Sangeetha Sabha, held at the Dattatreya Temple in Tyagarajanagar, Bengaluru.
On that occasion, Revathi played the veena while Kiaan accompanied her on the mrudanga. The concert held personal significance for her, as it was dedicated to her late parents, Shyamala and Krishnamurthy. She revealed on Instagram that the duet had been in preparation for over a month.
“My one month’s hard work yesterday ended with great success! I wanted my grandson Kiaan to perform mrudanga on my Shyamalakrishna Sangeetha Sabha platform yesterday evening at Dattatreya Temple, Tyagarajanagar, Bangalore!” she wrote.
The programme began with their joint piece and continued with sets by young, established musicians before closing with a recital by noted vidwan Vinay Sharva. In her post, Revathi encouraged viewers to “please watch Nithin Kamath enjoying his son’s playing,” noting how much the moment meant to her.
Footage from the event showed Kiaan keeping steady time on the mrudanga while his grandmother’s veena lines flowed above it.
