As Volkswagen India bids goodbye to its biggest seller yet, it’s time to take a look at the impact of the VW Polo.
After twelve years of serving Indian customers, German automobile major Volkswagen officially discontinued the cars under the flagship Polo brand on April 8.

Volkswagen has already been working on a facelifted Polo for the global market. The India-spec Polo however could be different from the international variant.

The petrol variants of the car are priced between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 7.01 lakh while the diesel trims are priced in the range Rs 6.16 lakh to Rs 8.11 lakh.
While the model will be launched in Europe during spring next year, the company's Indian arm Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) is expected to launch it in the domestic market around the festive season this year.

The Volkswagen Polo made a significant contribution to the increase in sales in March this year, Volkswagen India said in a statement.
