Aero Show: Flight operations at Bengaluru airport to be disrupted from February 5 to 14

Flight operations to and from the Kempegowda International Airport will be affected as airspace would be closed for some hours every day during the period

Flight operations at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru will be disrupted from February 5 to 14, as the city hosts the Aero India Show 2025, the country's premier aerospace and defence exhibition .

“Due to airspace closures for a few hours each day from February 5 to 14, commercial flight operations at Bengaluru airport will be impacted. This is due to the upcoming Aero India Show 2025 at the Air Force Station, Yelahanka,” Bangalore International Airport Limited, which operates KIA, said in a statement on January 21.

Airspace will be closed and flights affected in the run-up and during the Aero Show, which will be held from February 10 to February 14. The first three days will be only for business visitors and the show will be open to the general public on the last two days.

From February 5 to 8, flights will be impacted between 9am and 12pm, and 2 pm to 5pm. On February 9, the closure will be from 9am to 12pm. The next day, no flights will be allowed from 9 am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm. On February 11 and 12, the closure will be from 12pm to 3 pm. On February 13 and 14, flights will not be allowed from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm.

“Passengers are advised to take note of this and contact their respective airlines for details of revised or updated flight schedules and plan their travel accordingly,” the statement said.

It also urged passengers to check travel advisories from traffic enforcement agencies. “We request all passengers traveling through Bengaluru airport during this period to plan their journey to and from the airport accordingly,” it said.
