DDA opens registration for e-auction of over 500 luxury flats, auction to start on February 5

The reserve price for a penthouse is kept at Rs 5 crore while for super HIG flat it is Rs 2.5 crore and for HIG it is Rs 2.19 crore.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has started the registration for the e-auction of its luxury apartments including penthouses in Dwarka sector 19B. The e-auction will start on February 5 and the last date of registration is January 29, officials aware of the matter said.

Under the scheme, as many as 707 apartments will be e-auctioned. The reserve price for a penthouse is kept at Rs 5 crore while for super HIG (high-income group) flat it is Rs 2.5 crore and for HIG it is Rs 2.19 crore. As many as 192 2BHK MIG (mid-income group) flats will also be a part of the e-auction.

The Authority conducted the first round of e-auction for 296 apartments on January 5 in which 274 apartments were booked.

“The registrations for the second round of e-auction have begun and it will remain open till January 29. Interested applicants can submit relevant documents by January 31 and the e-auction will start from February 5. Flat and category-wise schedule of the auction will be issued separately soon,” a DDA official told Moneycontrol.

In the e-auction, seven penthouses, 32 super HIG apartments, and 476 HIG flats in Dwarka Sector 19B are on offer along with 192 MIG flats in Dwarka Sector 14.

The registration process

The DDA official said that the participants will have to first register on the e-auction portal, https://dda.etender.sbi/SBI/, and pay Rs 2,500, which is non-adjustable and non-refundable, separately against each flat they wish to bid.

He said that for registration applicants will have to deposit a certain booking amount or EMD. The booking amount is Rs 15 lakh for HIG, Rs 20 lakh for super HIG flats, and Rs 25 lakh for penthouses while it is Rs 10 lakh for MIG.

The applicants will have to pay EMD separately to participate in the bidding. They will have to make online payments against each flat they wish to bid for.

In the first phase of the e-auction, a total of 274 apartments were sold, including seven penthouses, 138 super HIG flats, and 129 MIG flats. The highest bid for one of the penthouses had touched Rs 5.77 crore.

Luxury apartments and penthouses are being offered in a housing complex located in Dwarka Sector 19B, overlooking an upcoming 18-hole golf course in Sector 24. The housing complex, with an estimated construction cost of Rs 700 crore, has 11 towers.

The penthouses will also have terrace gardens, and the luxury housing complex in Sector 19B will have larger-than-usual green spaces.
