Gold, silver prices today on November 12: Gold has once again crossed the Rs 1.25-lakh mark on back of strong demand in the wedding season. In the international markets, the yellow metal edged past $4,140 mark largely due to muted jobs data in the US. Similarly, silver has also seen a marked uptick with current price of white metal per kg hovering over Rs 1.6 lakh in the domestic markets.

Bullion has retreated from last month's record high above $4,380, as investors booked profits from a rally that many felt had advanced too quickly. In a sharp turnaround, gold-backed exchange-traded funds have seen three consecutive weeks of net outflows, according to Bloomberg data.

Yellow metal, which has gained over 55% this year, is on course for its strongest annual performance since 1979, driven in part by elevated central-bank buying. The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index remained flat, while silver, platinum, and palladium also saw modest gains.
