The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the online registration for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024 today, October 16. Candidates who have not yet applied must submit their forms by 11:59 pm through the official website, ctet.nic.in.

The CTET December 2024 exam is scheduled for Saturday, December 14. Initially, the exam was going to take place on December 1, but was postponed twice, first to December 15, and now to December 14. This adjustment was made because a few state-level examinations are set to take place on December 15. According to CBSE, if the number of candidates exceeds capacity in any city, the exam might also be conducted on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

The CTET December 2024 exam will take place in 136 cities across India. It will consist of two papers: Paper 1, for those intending to teach Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2, for those aiming to teach Classes 6 to 8.

Candidates from the General and OBC-NCL categories are required to pay Rs. 1,000 if they are appearing for one paper. If they wish to sit for both papers, the fee is Rs. 1,200. For SC, ST, and Differently-abled candidates, the fee is Rs. 500 for one paper and Rs. 600 for both papers.
