At 69, Boney Kapoor seems to be ageing in reverse, especially after his weight loss. The popular Bollywood producer recently shared a post not only flaunting his new look but also taking pride in the fact that he fit into his old clothes with effortless ease. His transformation quickly caught the internet’s attention.
In the pictures, Boney looked fitter than ever in a blue check shirt paired with dark blue jeans and black loafers. He added a belt and watch to complete his look. Posing in style, he wrote, “22-year-old altered jeans, 18-year-old shirt, with a fresh haircut.”
It is certainly no mean feat to fit into decades-old clothes, but Boney has managed to achieve it. Last year, in an interview about his weight loss, he shared an anecdote, crediting his late wife Sridevi for the inspiration.
“The inspiration behind it was my wife because Sridevi was constantly behind me. She used to say, ‘When I met you, you were slim, trim, tall, and good-looking, and now you just…’” To this, he’d jokingly reply, “After I got you in my life, what more can I ask for? If I become slim and trim, then a lot of females would be attracted to me, and I don’t want that to happen,” he said.
Reacting to Boney’s new pictures, a fan wrote, “This is what Sridevi always wanted. Cuteness overloaded...Her soul must be more than happy wherever she is.” Daughter Janhvi Kapoor also commented, “Wow Papa.” Yet another fan said, “The only word to describe this is Jhakaas.”
Reportedly, Boney Kapoor, who has produced films like Mr. India, Mom, and Khushi, among others, lost weight with the help of a strict diet. He skipped a rigorous workout routine and exercised restraint with food. His breakfast included fruit juice, and jowar roti, and he had soup for dinner. The results of his discipline are quite evident and being praised widely online.
