The Enforcement Directorate (ED), early Tuesday morning, conducted searches at Al Falah University in Faridabad, along with premises linked to its promoters and associates, as part of the ongoing investigation into the Red Fort area blast case, reported PTI.

Multiple locations across Delhi-NCR came under scrutiny from early in the day, with ED teams beginning raids around 5 am. The action has been initiated under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) after the agency took cognisance of FIRs registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Delhi Police.

The probe is focussing on alleged financial irregularities and possible terror financing connected to the case.

As per sources cited by PTI, said trustees of Al Falah University are among those being searched.

So far, the NIA has arrested two individuals described as close aides of the suspected “suicide bomber” Dr Umar Nabi.

Al Falah University, located in the Dhouj area of Faridabad near Delhi, also operates a medical college and hospital.
