Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been sharing her fitness and diet secrets on Instagram, encouraging her followers to become the healthiest versions of themselves. While diet and strength training remain her main focus, she has also been open about using health supplements for muscle strength and recovery — one of them being creatine.
Samantha revealed that she initially struggled with creatine, as it caused bloating every time she took it. However, new studies got her interested in the power-packed supplement, many of which showed its potential “to support women not just with strength and focus, but also memory, mood… perimenopause, menopause and even healthy ageing.”

The actress decided to switch things up, starting to take creatine “half before and half after” her workout, and it has been a game changer for her.“My lifts feel stronger, I recover faster, my energy lasts through the day and even my mood feels lighter,” she added.
Creatine has taken centre stage for health enthusiasts who have been consuming it for all the reasons mentioned by Samantha. Recently, fitness coach Raj Ganpath explained how the supplement gives the best results when combined with strength training.
Citing an example, he said, “Let's say you can do about 10 reps using some weight in an exercise without creatine. Now, when you start supplementing with creatine, you’ll be able to do about 12 to 13 reps. These additional 2 to 3 reps, when done week after week, add up. They accumulate, and as a result, you end up becoming stronger and more powerful.”
He also clarified that it’s not a steroid and is safe to use by all adults of any gender. He recommended starting with 3 grams and going upwards to 5 grams.
