Hospital staff detained for secretly filming Dharmendra and family members in hospital's ICU

Veteran actor Dharmendra and his family have gone through a tough time over the past few days. The 89-year-old actor had been unwell and was briefly put on a ventilator, which left his fans deeply worried.

Dharmendra was discharged from the hospital on November 12 and was taken home. However, a video taken inside the hospital during this time went viral, capturing personal moments shared by the Deol family.

The clip, taken inside the Breach Candy ICU, showed Dharmendra lying on a hospital bed, appearing unconscious, while his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol stood beside him, visibly emotional. His grandsons, Karan and Rajveer Deol, could also be seen in the video, along with his first wife, Prakash Kaur, sitting by his side.

The video began circulating on social media and netizens were furious about the invasion of privacy as soon as the video went viral. According to reports, the hospital staff member who secretly filmed the video and shared it online has now been identified and arrested.

During his time in the hospital, there were unexpected rumours about his passing began to circulate online after which things took an unexpected turn. Everyone wasn't reassured that Dharam Paaji was still alive and making progress until his wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, made formal announcements on the morning of November 11.

After being discharged around 7:30 am on November 12, the family released a statement confirming Dharmendra’s improving health. The statement read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”

Since then, the family has been focusing on helping Dharmendra recover comfortably at home. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Govinda, visited him at the hospital to wish him a speedy recovery.
