Saiyami Kher has nothing but admiration for her Ghoomer and Breathe co-star Abhishek Bachchan and she makes it a point to highlight something not said often enough: he’s underrated.
Calling him 'one of the most underrated actors that is around,' Saiyami believes Abhishek’s work deserves far more credit than it receives.
Over the years, Abhishek has stepped into roles that are bold, nuanced, and different from the typical Bollywood formula. Saiyami notes, 'His recent films are brave choices,' applauding the way he’s consistently pushed boundaries and experimented with his craft.
Having worked closely with him on two projects—first on the psychological thriller series Breathe: Into the Shadows and later on the sports drama Ghoomer—Saiyami says the experience has only deepened her respect for him. “AB is my favourite co-star,” she declares. “I have worked with him on Breathe and then Ghoomer, which is a film very close to my heart.”
But it’s not just his professional choices that impress her—it’s the person he is on set. “He’s the most relaxed and most chilled,” she shares.

The ease and calm he brings to a film set, combined with his depth as a performer, make him stand out in an industry that often celebrates loud success over quiet brilliance.
What seems to shine through most in Saiyami’s words is not just admiration for Abhishek the actor, but genuine affection for Abhishek the person. “I really respect him not just as an actor but as a really solid human being,” she adds.
