As Shah Rukh Khan turns 60, Mumbai has transformed into a spectacle of emotion and euphoria. The superstar’s birthday, marked annually with massive crowds outside his residence Mannat, has taken on an even more exciting dimension this year.
According to India Today, a specially curated fan meet in Bandra, scheduled for 4 pm, sits at the heart of the celebrations and it has already become the subject of viral chatter online.
Unlike other years where fans waited in hope of a glimpse, this birthday has a structured surprise. Only those who secured passes through select fan communities will be allowed into an exclusive event in Bandra. The report further states that media personnel are barred, and entry is strictly controlled.
He was also spotted leaving Alibaug by paparazzi on Sunday afternoon, heading towards Bandra.
During a recent #AMA session on X, SRK responded to fan queries about whether he’d greet crowds from his famous balcony. His reply was characteristically witty, “Of course, but may have to wear a hard hat!!!” Another fan who joked about wanting to stay at Mannat due to a shortage of hotel rooms during the festivities was met with SRK’s quick wit, “Mannat mein toh mere paas bhi room nahi hai aaj kal….Bhaade pe reh raha hoon!!!”
Security outside Mannat has been tight. Barricades, crowd-control measures, and special cleaning teams are already in place.
Among the crowd are international fans who’ve flown in just for this day. Claudia Calle and Manigret Aparicio, from Peru, traveled thousands of miles to be part of the celebration. Claudia, who runs a fan club after falling in love with SRK's performance in Veer Zaara, brought a handmade gift to express her devotion.
As the clock inches towards 4 pm, anticipation peaks, not just for a glimpse of the star, but for what many are calling the most emotional fan gathering of the year.
